My sister has two kids, one approx 6 months and the other 11 yrs old, by two different men. While I love my sister, her choices both in men and in life have been anything but healthy. I love her kids like they are my own, and I want whats best for them and while she is trying to be a good mom, she always lets the a**hole father back into her life and the cycle starts all over again and I know its none of my business but I dont know what else to do to keep her kids away from them. If childs protective services gets involved, does she lose her kids completely, or can a relative take them in? Id be more than happy too, but Im afraid she wont let me or my parents, just out of spite.

I'm meeting a guy, we're both 17 or maybe he's 18 - I've been set up but he's seen a photo of me and I've seen his and we're into the same music . . . Could this work?
Also do skater guys think deeply?
Basically how long should it be before I kiss him?

Ok so I'm getting the hint that my relationship with my ex is never going to work. It's all one sided (she does whatever she wants, if I bring up the past it's blown out of proportion but if she does it's fine, hangs up on me expecting me to call back and etc.) I'm a sweetheart and I've had a hot 38 year old tell me this that I'm a hottie and I have a great personality. Thankfully my ex moved out of state so I don't have to run into her, but my question is. When I date another girl and she finds out, how do I tell her that I don't want to be with her without sounding like an a55? She wants me to be one and gets me to the point where I am so she has some leverage in an argument. How do I just rid of her? I want to move away so when she does come back she'll never find me. This is a situation of be who you were or stay out of my life for good. Any suggestions. I don't want to be looked at as someone I'm not.

Through quite a few honest and open discussions with men, I have been enlightened and learned that some men WILL NOT approach certain women because they feel threatened.

why is it so hard to find a good guy these days?

I don't want "perfect" but a guy that will atleast want to talk to me, treat me right, and just want to be with me... sounds simple but its so hard to find.
is there even such a guy these days?

Hi, thanks for taking time to help me out.

My boyfriend and I have been dating for a year and I don't know what to get him. His birthday is very close to Christmas so I have to get him 2 things or one larger present. I am looking to spend about $200 combined. But the problem is he has a lot of stuff and I cant think of what to get him.

We are in university together and he is an english major. He doesnt really care for sports, but he does enjoy the outdoors and does a lot construction and home improvment type stuff for work.

Thanks for any help,
Jane

I asked the question a few minutes ago:
"What is the best kind of beer..in your opinion"
and some Lady wrote: A real lady doesn't drink beer

now.. this got me thinking.
how many of you think it is trashy or wrong to
for a girl to drink beer? if then, is it trashy
and wrong for a guy to drink it too???

what are your thoughts on women and beer?

My boyfriend has female friends that he's known for years, and I'm fine with that. But is it ok for him to go out with them alone and chill and him chill at their house alone and vice versa. Keep in mind he always tells me and is honest about where he's at. But is it ok for them to be alone and go out and stuff?

Somebody once told me that if you're not willing to have sex before marriage you probably shouldn't date young guys (teens and early twenties) because this is the time where they try to "experiment" as much as possible. So basically what she was saying was that I shouldn't be dating unless I was willing to put out? Does this mean I should only date older guys who are looking for a long term relationship? What do you think?

My husband's first wife died 14 years ago and we spend holidays with her family for the sake of their two children. Her mother turns every Thanksgiving into a memorial service for her daughter. I feel obligated to let the children be there for the holidays and if my husband and I choose not to attend, our family will have to spend every holiday apart. She is 75 years old and has many wonderful qualities. I would just like her to stop opening old wounds and live in the present instead of always rehashing the past. I am afraid of upsetting her and the entire family if I confront her about it. After all, I'm not even a family member. I have however raised her two grandchildren for the past dozen years. Her other children don't seem to mind but it is mildly uncomfortable to my husband and extremely uncomfortable for me. I feel like I am a cardboard stand in for her daughter. I feel like I don't even exist. The thought of 20 more years of this makes me insane. HELP!!!

Can anyone offer advice on dealing with competitive, judgmental, homophobic, extremely religious relatives (brother-in-law & wife) who look down on everyone who does not think the way they do? They spend a great deal of their time criticizing others (on their marriages, how they raise their children) yet they themselves fight more than any couple I've ever met (often in public) and do not have well behaved, well adjusted children. Infact, their 5-year old is a terror and is a terrible influence on our younger children. My husband and I consider ourselves moderate, tolerant people and pride ourselves on having friends of many different cultural, political and religious backgrounds. However, we cannot seem to have civil discussions on religion, politics, social issues etc with these folks as they are prone to obnoxious, completely uninformed statements that end up offending the rest of the family. We are obligated to see them 3-4x/yr @ holidays. They do have a few good qualities.Help!

So seriously, Im at work and i hear some girls talking(i work with mostly girls at an assembly plant). But it pays darn good.Im 21 and they are fairly close in age(within 3 years).anyway I was joking with this girl and this other one who knows I'm a virgin(yeah ha ha real funny but whatever)says"You'll never get laid talking like that." And it dawned on me. Is that all that it comes down to is getting some?Ive always looked at women as a person not just a sex object. But that doesnt seem to work as im still single. Its not that I'm quasimodo. (im 6'4" nd about 215)Just reserved.Anyway is that all that matters anymore with my age group? Or is it just because there, well, in my age group?I mean dont get me wrong sex would be great but thats not what my entire life revolves around.
