when my grandpa died my b/f was there for me 24/7. He held me close and let me cry during the day. He let me sleep in his arms at night. He stayed in the waiting area with me. Is this sincere for a 16yr old boy??
My friend says he is using me and has been for the past two years. Is she right??
I did cheat on him as part of a bet with my cuz, but he found out. He was also there for me when I was molested. He tried to understand and told me he would try to help in anyway possible.

I have been separated from my ex for almost 4 years due to abuse. our first year together we went and filed taxes and he filed them as married. I don't know what i was thinking but i didn't pay attention and just signed it so we could get it done ( i hate taxes) and now we are considered married in the state of tx. unfortunately i did it again the next tax year and did not find out that we were married until i had to file financial aid for school. when we were together he said once he married me he would never let me get divorced from him and then the abuse started. i finally managed to get me and my daughter away from him and have waitied this long to find out because i was scared of what he might do even though i have moved to another state. but i want to be rid of him once and for all!!!! and now i am ready and have enough guts and self esteem to go for it. oh yeah, there is only one police report on him of abuse.

as soon as i saw this girl i fell in love. At first we both were in relationships but after they ended we began talking and i fell in love even more. I'm the oldest of three kids. I recently graduated college and got a job, but for now, I live at home. I am trying to save money to move out, but right now I don''t have enough to buy a place yet, so I'm living at home to save.

Here's the deal: As long as I can remember, my mother has always been a fickle source of confusion for me. On the one hand, she's down-to-earth and a little bit of a partier. On the other, she is demeaning and demanding and often childish.

I often give her rides home if she is too intoxicated to drive, and I often clean up after big family parties. On one instance, she needed a ride to the train station, but I was running late for work and I couldn't drive her. Her feeling was that I should drop everything and give her a ride, and ended that statement by telling me to go **** myself.
She comments on my relationship with my boyfriend through snide remarks, and gives me the silent treatment when she's not happy with me. These are not isolated incidents.

Suppose this: You cheat on your significant other and feel remorse for your loss of self control. You want to talk with him/her about what you did, even if you know the relationship could end by admitting to it. But your mate doesn't react with anger or even tears, he/she just casually packs his/her stuff and leaves, or packs your stuff and pushes you outside with them. No words in response, no looks of hatred, just a dispassionate response and the total ignoring of you.

I really really like this boy and he also happens to be one of best friends. We talk whenever we can before school and at lunch we both laugh a lot when we're together and we both have a good time. He said she was not meeting his needs (mostly sexual) and that is why he had an affair. When she found out she threw him out and divorced him. He is moving in with the other woman. This all happened so fast (six months) and I believe he has not dealt with his failed relationship. He has gone from one relationship into another. They have a child together but he still calls her for reasons other than their son. I think I need to hone my social skills around women. I'm an attractive guy but I admit I don't have the most experience around them. One of my short comings is that I can't just walk up and strike a conversation. In fact, I don't hold a conversation too well.

The weirdest thing is that I'm very fluent and engaging in my mind, like when I'm typing on IM or whatever. I'm the type who can write what I feel but I freeze up around women and honestly, I don't feel like myself. I often ask myself, what's wrong with me??

What kind of things can I do to improve my social skills and feel more comfortable towards women? This problem is eating away at me. Please help!!

Someone responded that hanging out with female friends (ones I'm not interested in dating) will help me get women. I know it's wrong but I'm just not interested in girls I'm not attracted to. Kind of like what they say, guys & girls can't just be friends if there's no interest...It's true
