There's this guy I find really hot. We're good friends but I feel more for him than that. How do I go about it? I don't want to appear a s**t or ruin our friendship. I have been antisocial for sense I was eight years old, I am no 21 and it has been only recently that I've finally started to break out of my old life style.
I wasn't antisocial because I chose to be, that happend because of my families way of living. I grew up an Army brat, sense I was born (I appologize in advance for any misspellings) into it. As an unfortunate consequence, I moved around my whole life. So I grew up not trying to fit in with everyone because I was always rejected, singled out, no one regardless of how hard I tried would give me a chance.
It is so frustrating to have so many people judge us because we have not been social. That doesnt happen on its own, being alienated does not exactly help.
Then there are those of you who claim that its the antisocial ones who take advantage of people. No, thats just a way of pointing blame at someone other then the one(s) responsible.
I only ask that you don't judge us all harshly, try seeing the world through our eyes.

For all the ridicule by Americans about "arranged marriages", most Indian marriages are happy and harmonious, whether in the US or in India, in spite of the nasty dowry system. The so called "love marriages" and "live-in" marriages in America are a disaster waiting to happen---and it usually ends in a wreck. How sad, how ignorant!

I have been in a relationship for 2 1/2 years now Living together 9 months...he is divorced as well as me, both have kids. The first issue was that he was not ready to get married, we solved that and were thinking of doing it December '06 (no more). But l've noticed that he does not want to be a father figure to my kids. He doesn't take them out to play sports, or anything like that. (Which he does with his kids). When we are all out together (his & mine) we all play. Also, there have been times that I've needed his support and I feel he has not been there for me. He says he loves me and that it's very hard for him to deal with my kids, (he is also 15 yrs older than me, I'm 34) but that he does not want to give up. I am jobless for the 1st time in my life but looking, so he's supporting us too (this is not the reason why I have not left yet though). I love him dearly, I don't know if I should leave when I get the job or keep trying without a lot of change, is there any hope? HELP !!!

I just found out that a friend from the past married her first cousin. I was a bit put off by it at first (ok, I was grossed-out). But, I guess it is not completely unheard of. I just want to get a feel of how people feel about this, and if anyone can provide some examples of cultures/societies that deem this acceptable. What do you think?
