That's easy. Do what makes you happy! You probably "sorta" love him because you've been with him and haning around him and you know him and you get along with him, but if you've pretty much figured out you don't wanna settle with this one, then don't! Tell him that you don't really want a boyfriend right now in your life. In your own words of course. And don't ever do something you don't want to do, or NOT do something that you DO want to do, because you feel guilty. Don't compromise yourself for anyone!

I felt the same way you do, when I went to college and had to break up with my highschool boyfriend...the breakup probably should have happened 2 years earlier. It was one of the hardest things I ever had to do...it sucked and it was painful, and that night I drank a bottle of vodka, but eventually I got over it and found new guys! Unfortunately, you'll just have to suck it up and do it. No easy way about it.

I think holding onto him when you just don't want him anymore is worse. That is tougher b/c eventually you'll still want to leave. Trust me, he'll end up finding someone else after you're gone. You should make the move, the sooner the better. Good luck.

With that last sentence lets me know that you are not going to break up with him. When you get fed up with him and his ways you will take that step. But please becareful a lot of women are not here, because they had to tell the man they were leaving him and he would not let them go but in only one way.
Before you start spreading your wings it is best to let him go, because it is hard to keep things like that in the dark.
I wish you look with your situation.

Take some deep breaths and tell him exactly what you just posted. It's never easy doing something like this, but its part of life. You live and learn. Good luck.

baby girl, why is it hard? if you're not happy with him, and you can't stand being with him, then let him go. yeah, there'll be some heartache involve, but that's what you can expect. move on with your life. no, need to prolong the suffering. just end it for both of your sake.

I think you should talk to him. Usually talking helps to get a better idea of where both of stand, and from there you can decide to end it or not.
