As for the date I would go with 04/07/07 for clarity sake, but whatever you want.
As far as what to engrave inside the ring....think of your fiance. What words come to mind? Do he have a favorite quote or saying that is sentimental or special for both of you?
I prefer to be very personal about such matters, but there are always the generic fall backs.
Check a jewelry store or do an online seach. I'm sure whatever you write will be great and he will love it.
Good luck.

On my fiance's ring I'm having it engraved with "this too shall pass" because this past year has been crazy--we've both been laid off, had a medical emergency, gave birth 5 weeks early, both our families had major surgery (one was a sextuple bypass), lost a grandmother, an uncle, a dog, and a family friend, and two more relatives have been diagonsed with cancer.
"This too shall pass" is just personal for us because it means that we will conquer anything.
Also, I would stay away from things you won't remember.
NAF may be nice now, but in 30 years will you remember what it means? Probably not.

I don't know if you are a Christian, but even if you are not, I suggest you take a look in the bible at 1 Corinthians 13. It is all about love, and what love should be about. Perhaps that might be good to put on there (1 Cor. 13) Check it out, it's cool, I promise!!!

i might take a seat and think of of something that youve pronounced too him the whole time youve been mutually. like a definite way you pronounced i admire you too him or a petname thats unique to him. something alongside those lines itll have extra meaning if its something that youve been making use of for a on an identical time as. sturdy success and Congradulations :)
