I tried telling her that I like to hear from her but would rather hear what's going on in her life. But all I seem to get is inspirational stories about preemies, gas boycott notices, pseudo-patriotic essays, etc. etc.

I don't want to make her mad...any suggestions as to some polite words or actions to take?

Her mom my former partner has been cheating on me all the time, even at one time talks about her mesing around with guys met my family. But I still tried to hold on her and the kid, because I love my kid and thats the onlychild I have. But for her not understanding that she felt she was smart and still continued messing around. So I dicided to just keep a cold shoulder not caring about she does or say. Realizing that she's lost grounds she started using the kid against me by allowing her to do things that she was not allowed to do. Potraying me as a bad dad who's strict. She one day took the kid and left the house with out informing me about where they were for about three weeks. After I found them I tried to talk to her to bring the kid back but she refused as she's got useless people like her who are advicing her and want to live a free life where no one will control. And now I find out that the kid is completely out of controle. What can I do in this case?

You may be in love with one person that makes you feel safe and whom you respect and cherish. On the other spectrum, this other person makes you think of them constantly, you can't hardly wait to be with them again!!!

Single mom of 35... when in a relationship with a guy I really like, it has to be going somewhere (toward the future) at a good pace, or it is not worth it to me.

I don't feel like single parenting anymore, and I am to old to date someone for 1+ years.

Is this considered desperate or not?

My boyfriend and I are in a long distance relationship. He knows how difficult this is for me, especially during the few days following a visit together. He asks me what he can do to help when I'm so down. So today he's got some meeting he's going to. I asked him if he could just call me for a minute during a break or lunch or something. He wouldn't do it. He said he'd try, but he might not have a chance. Hello....they are going to give breaks/lunch in an 8 hour time period. Why can't he just say ok because we both know he will get a break. I'm not asking for some long conversation, just a quick hey how are you?
Is that asking too much...especially when he wants me to tell him things he can do to help me feel better?

This is a long story but I'm going to make it short. I met him and he was crazy about me. He asked me out and I always refused to go out with him. Finally I accepted. We started going out on our second week dating we had sex. He kept seen each other until we had a fight because he wanted to do all the work when we had sex. After a week without seen each other I called. He said he didn't call before because he thought I was mad at him. The next day I went to his house and when again the same thing happened. He doesn't want to please me. Ater 2 weeks I called text him and he said he was going to call me the day after to go out. He did call and we decided to go out on the next day. When I called him he said he was going out with his friends and that he coud'nt make it to our date. Now two week have passed and he hasn't called. He is 13 years older than me. Please what do you think.

He moved out. I later found out that he had met someone(s?) else. I saw a lawyer. The lawyer said that it is cheaper if he files and I answer. I told my husband that he could go ahead and file, the kids and I will be fine. He says that he does not want a divorce? What?
He is effectively paying support now. He pays tuition for the kids, the mortgage for where I am living and the utility bills, so support payments is not the issue.
Thanks.

Being a man, I feel that I know men pretty well. For the most part, men are disgusting beasts. The smells, the noises, the attitudes, the mentality...It's amazing to me that any of us find a woman that will put up with us, much less, be attracted to us. Women, what do you think?
