I have not been asked out in at least a year, and its not like I'm a freak or anything. I am tall (5ft9in) blond with blue eyes and weigh 150, so I'm not fat or pudgy or anything. I have a brother & I'm convinced that my parents think more of him than they do of me. I'm not talking about loving him more because I know they love us both equally.We've both moved out but I still do a lot of things for my parents; drive them places, sort out their problems, make sure they're ok and don't need anything, give them money if it's needed, organise holidays, etc and he does absolutely SFA for them. He only rings when he wants something, visits them when he's hungry, insults and disrespects them while he is visiting, farts & then leaves usually with his girlfriend in tow!! Yet my folks rave about him (my mum especially) to anyone who'll listen. Am I wrong to feel completely unappreciated? Should I tell my parents that I'm not doing things for them any more or should I just shut up & put up? Every time I approach the subject with my bro he just starts an argument!

My boyfriend and I are living together, the location we are in is good for me I have a good job and I'm going to college (2 Blocks from home!)we were both raised here so it is home. It isn't the best place for him though he can't find a job here and can't afford to go to college at the momment he has opportunities in other places but this may mean I will loose everything going for me now. I have a brother who is 14 years older than me. we shared so much life together and faced family dysfunction due to parental alchohol and physical, emotional abuse and recovery together.He married a woman 30 years ago who was very jealous of me and my younger sister's relationship with him. We accepted her but she kept finding fault with us. Two years ago she was finally able to cut us out of his life. For awhile he'd see us or call us secretly. But another sibling who is accepted by his wife told. He was told to choose. Now he is terminal. My younger sister has talked to him on the phone. I was told by his daughter-in-law that " They were not ready to talk to me." I said I'd respect that without rancor. Now my other fmaily members take issue with me for that. They say if I loved him I'd insist. i say I need to respect his wishes and hold him as I always have in my heart and memory.What say you?
