I know this is long, but here it goes...

EVIL FRIEND WHO JOKES ABOUT EVERYTHING - Jim
FRIEND THAT DID HIS HOMEWORK HE FORGOT TO DO, AND DID IT DURING LUNCH - Mike
NEUTRAL PERSON - Jake
FRIEND I JUST MADE WHO'S WELL INTO LEARNING ENGLISH - Daniel

So, Daniel just moved here and he's new to the school, so I'm being nice and befriending him. I think we'll be great friends. Daniel is also well-mannered. He introduced himself (so on and so on)... I've been friends with Mike forever, since about 3rd grade. Jake isn't involved and he probably doesn't even choose sides; I don't think he knows the situation I'm in. Jim makes fun of everyone; myself as well as Daniel, Mike, and Jake --- LONG STORY ABOUT HOW I ENDED UP AT THAT TABLE ON MY A DAY (every other day). My friend Robert also hates him. Mike understands how I feel, Daniel --- not so much. Jim was attacking me today. He accused me of stuttering and asked me if I'm gay. HE ALREADY KNEW THE ANSWER - NO...

When Daniel told Jim and Mike, BYE - SEE YOU LATER, Jim made fun of him again. Jim called Mike a nerd, UGH... I've known Jim for 3 years , but his attitude is progressively getting worse. I value my friendship with Mike and my fairly newfound friendship with Jake.

JUST WONDERING - Have you ever had friends that hate each other? I hate that.

I have had friends that dislike each other and it can be a pain. You need to pick and chose your friends sometimes, and this sounds like one of those instances. Friends are people you can depend on, people who make you feel better about yourself, people who you enjoy,ENJOY, being around! They are not mean to each other, and they don't get their kicks by making fun of their other friends...do they...! You sound like you already know the answer to your own question here. Surround yourself with good and supportive friends, and you will go far in your life. People like Jim aren't bad people, just confused. One day he will realize what this life is all about and get his stuff together, but you certainly do not have to wait around for him to do it.. Good Luck !!

Ok look drop the Jim guy!!! He is not a friend. There is no way you can have a friend and hate them. It means yall are not friends. Enjoy high school day by day because when you get out real life kicks in. Jim is not a good person that will sooner or later bring you down. Drop kick him to the curb!

Well not all of your friends are always going to like one another or get along. It's a fact of life...some people just rub other people the wrong way. You just have to try not to choose sides if you are to remain friends with all of them. Jim sounds like he's begging for attention and to be liked by everyone. He makes fun of people so that others will laugh...this is a trick to cover his own insecurities. He feels inferior and may feel threatened that you are building a new friendship with Daniel. Most likely if you say anything to him about this behavior it will only fuel him with further ammo to make fun of you with...one has to wonder if you really need such a friend in your life...But boys will be boys...Keep these thoughts in mind: You can catch more flies with honey than you can with vinegar...and...Keep your friends close and your enemies closer...Best of luck to you.

You are a very open person, you are easy to make friends with, with many different types of people. It just so happens that all your friends have clashing personalities. There is not a whole lot you can do about it. Just be true to all your friends and they should be true to you. They might eventually learn to deal with each other and somewhat get along , but don't expect anything to soon.

this bloke Jim sounds like a ****, he obviously is not aware of the effect he has on others. You can tell him straight if you think it woudl make no differences stop hanging about with him. You can choose your friends. its not nice having someone take the mickey all the time he sounds quite immature, has to build up his ego at other people,s expense that is sad.

people hate for different reasons and have no clue why, there is no grounds for it, the person has done nothing to them but they hate all the same, could be jealousy, lack of self esteem or ego, culture religion, who cares, it is something they do and enjoy doing.
if you are to get wrapped up in it and let it ruin your day then they have succeeded in showing the hate, but if you walk away and smile at their little imperfections they may eventually see what you are smiling at, and either change their thinking to reflect you as a person or just go in another direction never to bother you again

There is a difference between befriending someone and someone who is your friend. You can be nice to people who will are not nice to you but you dont have to be their best friend. Let the people who treat you badly go. They will always do the same, so just let them do it to someone else. The people who reciprocate your kindnesses are true friends, these are the ones to concentrate on.

Just be your self with your true friends and leave the looser (Jim) out of the picture. He might get the hint.

What an ***! I hate guys like that. You need to tell him to stop making fun of everyone unless he thinks he is perfect....If he doesn't then he isn't worth having around as a friend. You and all of your friends should boycott his immaturity.
