the person you love most, is the person who hurts you the most. He's the person who blames you for something that you didnt even do. but..he's my ex. and he wont date me for another year...to see if our relationship gets any better. and if it does..and we are together still after our senior year of hs..he wants me to move in with him during college...

now does that seem...too..planned out, and too far ahead??

Ok everyone let me ask you all this. Why is it that now that I have a relationship with a good black man, I have all kinds of men especially other black guys trying to get with me. They don't even know me or that I am with a guy but I have all kinds of men hitting on me and telling me that I look good and all that why is that. There was a guy that I talk to on the phone at work. Sometimes during our conversation we flirt. He has asked questions and I responded so he knows I am not involved. Last week for work I went out of state to a conference that he was also attending. That night he asked me to go out with a group of his coworkers (there were women there too). His friends were respectful, attentive and friendly but by the end of the night one of his coworker asked me if I am alone by choice. One asked "so do you go out a lot on dates" they asked me what movies I liked to see, and asked a lot of questions about my likes and dislikes. With the exception the first guy, all of them were married. Although I wear an engagement ring on my finger (don't ask me why) and I don't think I was overly friendly that night they seemed to all know I was not engaged, married or in a relationship. Did they assume because I was friendly that I am not involved?

Why is it that instead of getting information from the source or keeping mouths shut, sometimes family just has to blab? My grandmother, for instance, felt it necessary to inform me of details of my sisters life which I already knew. Not getting into details or anything, just randomly mentioning "I talked to her and by the way this is going on". Whether or not she was just 'informing' me or trying to nonchalantly strike up a conversation and get more details is beside the point. And she told my mom too, which my sister had not decided to do yet. You would think that the older generations would have a little more tact than that, and respect other people's wishes to not discuss things with them and NOT take it all personally. Anybody else dealing with this? (there's the rhetorical question of the year!)

I came to visit my bf and meet his family for the first time and after 1.5 weeks I got word (from a woman who likes to exaggerate and tell stories) that my bfs step dad is telling his wife that I can't cook or clean. I was livid because that man is disgusting, he won't pick up after himself, spills things and doesn't wipe them up, throws trash/clothes all over the house and I was actually picking up after him as his wife is in another state getting surgery and I can't stand messes! I was doing the dishes everyday even tho theyr DISGUSTING with caked on crap. I figured I could "earn my keep" by keeping things tidy. Well! If he thinks I don't clean then I figured I'll show him and actually NOT CLEAN anymore so he can see that I actually WAS. I resent being expected to clean as if that's what I came here for. The only thing is this basterd is my bfs boss and I dunno if I should be so spiteful. He cant lose the job. Its only dishes and picking up stuff now and then. So, should I?

... so I eventually went out with this girl. We'd been flirting eversince we met and just a few days ago, we went to a bar with live music. Everything was perfect. Lots of kissing later that evening. And I did have a feeling it wasn't just some calf-love. She suggested going to the movies the next day. That night we both went to our homes. The next morning I sent her a text message mentioning the movies. All of a sudden I got a reply: "You know I'm kind of busy these days, I have a lot of studying to do [she has some physics and math exams at a local university coming], so I would like if we saw each other after I've done my exams [two weeks from now]." I sent her some nice messages - even saying that I fully respect ..., that I miss her presence ... etc, but she always takes forever to reply if at all. The problem is that she says she does everthing but study. What should I do? Should I stop contacting her and hope she'll reply or should I keep trying? I don't want to lose her!!!

i've placed ad's on yahoo over the years and all i get far as response to my ad is someone in another country.though i might talk to theese people for a while i fail to see why it alway's someone in a different country.i'd like to meet someone i could have a chance at meeting and being happy with yet all i ever get is someone somewhere outside my reach.can anyone tell me why this is? i've had some as far away as russia'africa'and most recently england.i'm now talking to one in england and she wants me to bring her up here and i'm not really sure if i should trust her if this is a scam then i don't want to find myself wishing i had reconsidered before sending anything to her. that's the last thing i'd want out of such a matter.if someone is going to respond to my ad let them be within my reach so we can at least be together sometimes where we need be.i'm looking to find that 2nd 1/2 of my life can anyone tell me where i can find her?

Today is me and my boyfriends 6th month anneversary, he is not really in to much of anything but tv so its hard to find him a gift, i dont want to get him a dvd or anything like that cuz that would just promote him to sit in front of the tv even more. Can anyone think of something I can get him? My budget is about $40 tops.
only other possible details are:
*he was in the air force
*he likes weapons like knives and guns
*he likes fast food, lol
ummm thats all i got! i cant think of ANYTHING, any generalized gifts that someone could get someone? I dont think i can get him anything that pertains to his hobbies so i just wish i had a generally cute idea. thanks! :)
