I've only been seeing him for about 2 months but his ex won't leave him alone. They were engaged for a while but he left her when he found out she was cheating, until recently (about 4 months) he was still giving her everything she wanted. Now that he's not giving her attention/money/ect she's always around, just to upset him. they have a few mutual friends and she's always telling blatent lies about him, coming over to his apt for no reason, calling him at least once a day, texting ect.. he rarely responds to any of this, but i know that it bothers him that shes screwing around with him. Trying to get him angry, but it's bothering me more.

I know that it's not my place to get involved but he's now backing away from me and he said it's because he's kind of afraid i'll end up like her.... WTF?! What can I do to get rid of the ex? He wants her gone, and i want her gone more!

sunday was my b-day & my husband totally spoiled it. he did'nt forget it though, I wanted to make love on this very special day and he told me it's sex free day bcause he's tired and until this day which is like 4 days afteer my b-day I have not recieve a gift yet. what he did on my b-day was just sleep. Is it he's totally unromantic or it's bcause he's now married to me so he does'nt have to try has hard as b4 we got married. from that day he saying to me why are being upset and I don't answer him. how can u do that to your spouse. guess what he did the same thing for our anniversary.

I have been dating this guy for about 6 weeks now, we have done tons of stuff together and have several things planned in the next couple of weeks, a wedding, a overnight stay at a hotel, etc. He has met my dad briefly in the driveway but not my mom or sister. I asked him last night if he would like to join my family to dinner for my moms bday. He said he wasnt sure about it, thought maybe it was too early for that and that it might be better a different time. He said he is sure it would be fine because everything he has heard about my family seems awesome, he is just not sure a bday is the best situation.....I am nervous that maybe I scared him off. He does not have a solid family background, and to be honest I dont think he knows what is like to have a family like mine. He will fit in perfect...I am worried I might have pushed it too far. I told him I didnt want to make him feel umcomfortable or rush things, just thought I would ask. What do I do from here? Back off a little?

My girlfriend goes to a women's gym where its not unusual to get naked and have a communal spa. I know my girl is going to get naked while changing and showering at the gym but I feel uncomfortable with her having a spa with these other women. Am I being ridiculous?

I'm married for 14 years. 2 Kids. Full-time job. Wife is stay-at-home mom.
I also have a part-time weekend job. Overall, I make around 50K plus.

I work 8 to 14 hours a day.
I have school after work to further my education.
I skip lunch every day to cut down on financial spending and get more work done.
I come home at night and do at least 80% of the overall chores. Cooking, cleaning, laundry, dishes etc...plus be Super-Dad for my kids before bedtime.
I'm Super-Husband after the kids are in bed.
Is it too much to ask for a thank you or a little appreciation?

I'm wondering If I'm just a messed-up person or whether there are others like me. I almost feel like a single parent sometimes.

I live in Indiana around my mom and dad. My mom is EXTREMELY close to my four year old son. The problem is, is that I want to move out of Indiana. Whenever I mention it to my mom, she gets really upset. She has a disease that will eventually kill her and she doesn't want me to move until she dies. Am I being selfish? I'm trying to throw a party for a friend who is turning 30. There will be men and women at this party and I'm trying to find an activity to fit all guests. The honoree would like an actual activity before going out to dinner/clubs. Some potentional ideas have been: going to a local winery to make wine (this will limit the number of guests to this event) or going to Kiln Kreations to make pottery (not really guy friendly).
I was hoping other Indianapolis folks would have some other ideas or suggestions.
The event will take place on a Saturday in October. Several people are coming in from out of town, so travelling to another city would be out of the question.

Yesterday we were in the hospital in the doctor's office waiting room they were running around and screaming mostly the 7 year old. I told him repeatively to sit down where the 5 year old would sit down but seeing his big brother wasn't listening why should he have to. They made such a huge scene a doctor came out and yelled at us. I was so embarassed and ashamed of especially my 7 year old. Then once he was in trouble he began to tell me infront of everyone how he was going to get me in trouble someway he'll get me taken away.
Now what exactly is termed as abuse in this world now? Honestly, my hubby tells me they are just kids let them be kids and lets them have everything they want and do whatever they want. To the point where hubby is so sure that IF we ever were to divorce he'd have custody of them. What can i do as far as making them learn I am not going to be ran over. Time out doesn't work, in empty room doesn't work, all the oldest will do is cry hysterically.
