Family & Relationships - 30 July 2006

I've got a friend who was in a terrible accident on Saturday, July 29th and was T-boned by an 18 wheeler on the driver's side. She's been in the hospital in critical condition unconsious since the wreck. She's broken her neck, broken every rib on the left side of her body, had her spleen removed, broken all of the bones in her legs and all the ones in her left foot. Her left arm is broken and she has clotting in her brain... They're telling the parents that it doesn't look good but that they're doing all that they can. For now, she's unconsious... but heaven help her, if she gets better (I worked with and went to highschool with her) my friends and I are trying to think of something to do for her to show her how much she means to us and how much we all love her... Any ideas on something that would cheer her up if she makes it? (we're going to give her some space for a while, we know her family needs to be with her... nothing before she gets out of the ICU...)

I was talking with my wife the other day about disfigurements (we were watching a show about a guy who had his face torn off by a grizzly bear). I offhandedly asked her what she would do if I had some horrible disfiguring accident and you know what she said.
"I'd leave you."! Just like that!
She then realized that she said it and backpeddled like a .. uh .. something that backpeddles like CRAZY!
What does that mean!!!!????

I have moved away from her. But I still try or wanting to go see her and she isn't interested in me anymore. I am thinking of moving even further like to another state once I have a job line up (which isn't a problem)---I hope that by moving far away it would help me try to find someone else.

My friends boyfriends mother secretly swabbed the babies mouth and hers and sent it off. It came back that they wasnt related. She told her son that the baby wasnt his. Is it possible the accurancy was wrong and was it illegal to swab without parents permission?

My husband and I have been married for just over 3 years. We recently had a son (8.5 months old), and it is just getting really frustrating. We both work, and have a system set up that I get up with the baby Tue-Friday and he gets up Sunday and Monday. He is supposed to get up with the baby saturday, but its "too hard to get up so early," so I usually end up doing it. When he does wake up with him, he usually just lets him crawl around, crying, even though it's obvious that the baby is hungry or wants attention. I tried to explain to him many times what the baby's cries meant, but he doesnt even try any the 3 solutions to the problem (feed the baby, play with the baby, or the baby needs a nap....wow...so hard!).

Also, I am the only one who comes up with ideas to try to keep the spark alive in our marriage. I am the one suggesting we go out on dates, arranging childcare, etc. he doesnt even suggest these things anymore, All that matters to him are his video games and his TV. Not us.

I think it's such a delicious situation...you can wear short skirts, touch him, etc., and he can't respond without risking his job. What an uneven and deliciously evil situation. If you've done this, please tell me all about it and how it made you feel

hi ..im an 18 yr old girl starting college soon...i have been with my bf for 2 years and he is a wonderful guy and ive never met anyone like him...he loves me a lot and is committed to me...i love him too and we have a good rship...

however i feel suffocated in this rship when my friends and colleagues at past workplaces say that i shouldnt check out guys and talk abt them as much as i do...i say that im not married to my bf and whats wrong with me thinking abt other guys..also, i like this guy from my workplace a lot and have told my bf abt...he has been very understanding abt it and says that he wont leave the girl he loves just because she has a crush on someone...i know it hurts him and i feel bad but i really like this other guy..but i love my bf 100 times more..dont wana leave him..he's also my best friend..anyways i know i cant get together with the other guy cos he's from a different religion and moreover he says he thinks of me as his sister...i feel so disgusted by that..

The guy I have this crush on has finally confessed that he was starting to have feelings for me at the beginning of July.I was so thrilled,and I told him about how I felt about him as well.We were both shocked and spechlessly happy.Although I went to China for the summer vacation,we still kept in touch with each other,such as phone calls,msn etc.But then a really devastating incident happened to him not long after he confessed to me,and he started to get really quiet about stuff,which was totally not like him.And I started to have a feeling that things just got awkward bwteen us,like we just ran out of topics to talk about a lot of times,and this is really sad becuz before,when we were still friends,we talked for couple hours and never lack of materials to chat about.More,I broke my computer a week ago,he didnt even call;and I broke my cell later on; so we didnt talk for two entire weeks.When I get my comp fixed,I didnt find a single mail from him.Is he regretting for what he said??
