How do I know whether he still likes me or is he regretting for what he said??

The guy I have this crush on has finally confessed that he was starting to have feelings for me at the beginning of July.I was so thrilled,and I told him about how I felt about him as well.We were both shocked and spechlessly happy.Although I went to China for the summer vacation,we still kept in touch with each other,such as phone calls,msn etc.But then a really devastating incident happened to him not long after he confessed to me,and he started to get really quiet about stuff,which was totally not like him.And I started to have a feeling that things just got awkward bwteen us,like we just ran out of topics to talk about a lot of times,and this is really sad becuz before,when we were still friends,we talked for couple hours and never lack of materials to chat about.More,I broke my computer a week ago,he didnt even call;and I broke my cell later on; so we didnt talk for two entire weeks.When I get my comp fixed,I didnt find a single mail from him.Is he regretting for what he said??
