Why do I feel so bad about doing so?

Yeah I think its because he will have to pay all the bills himself now and that I'm leaving him High & Dry.. but I shouldn't feel to guilty should I, cos I do?

you feel bad because you are such a nice person?
and you know that it will put the other person in a bind?

tell them, apologize profusely and explain why you HAVE to do it.
if they get angry, don't be harsh on yourself. you gotta look after yourself first.

I've been in your shoes, and didn't leave when I should have and it just made a mess of a lot of things.... didn't wanna bail on my roomy, but should have.

if its because of a fight then thats why. also could be if yopu were splitting the bills feel bad about leaving them high and dry but also probably because your moving with no warning

because you forgot the rent and your stiffining your housemate. good going for not taking care of part of the rent.

why did you wait for the last min to tell you could have been up front so that you could be replaced so you sould fell some guilt ..
