Ok, one of my good friends, who happens to be male, is having a party for his 25th birthday. He claims that we are really close friends and I'm one of the most important people in the world to him. I called him earlier today to ask him if he wanted to go with my to my company picnic on his birthday and he said that he couldn't go. Then he asked me what time it would be and I told him and he said again he couldn't go and this time casually mentioned "yeah, I'm having a party for my birthday, you can come if you'd like." I can come if I like?? In my opinion, that's not a real invitation expressing that you'd like me to be there, that's something you casually say to an associate, not someone who's one of your best friends. Tell me, what do you think?? Especially guys!! I know I'm looking at this from a female perspective, guys, would you be this nonchalant about inviting one of your closest friends to your 25th birthday party?? I have two sisters and three brothers. I tend to have more in common with my brothers. The path in life we have chosen and lifestyle issues.... but it is possible to go almost a month or more without talking to any siblings. Anyone else not really close with their sibs? Do you almost feel guilty for it, like you should be friends?

we have all been out of the house for probly 5 years, and most of us live anywhere from 1 hour to 10 hours appart driving distance.

the oldest one is nineteen years older than the youngest one.

I am a mature student i.e am 24. I am living in pakistan. And hoping to start university this year. To study what I am interested in I have to go abroad to the UK because of personal circumstances and lack of public institutions offering the course.

Being the second son and coming from a business family envioroment I have the responsibility of overlooking the business operations of my fathers stock market brockerage house and computer distribution company to make sure that at a time of emergency if something were to happen to my father both me and my brother could be there to know what to do. However with a total lack of interest in both fields I am willing to put in time to understand all bank account, balance statements etc but am not sure whether it would it would be worth putting in a year or be done by this september of this year to join university.Cant communicate with my father to help me understand the required timeline based on the nature of the work. Please help!

Let me explain the situation first. My brother was lying to girls online and he asked me to help him because he is in Iraq right now. Just to log on as a persona he created. During the process I made some friends and kept lying to them. I got caught and my brother told me that he could get in big trouble and I lied again. Now during this one of the friendships has become more. This girl still thinks I have three brothers in which I do but its not the pictures of brothers that she has seen. She has forgiven me but not forgotten about how I lied about who I was. I am in love with this girl and I dont want to lose her but the pain of lying for my brother is killing me and I want to tell her the truth. Can someone tell me how without totalling losing my soulmate. I just feel like **** my brother has dogged out on me and I just want tomake things right with my girlfriend. How do I do this??? HELP

my daughter will be celebrating turning 1 in 3 three months. id like to start organizing for it now so its done properly, all in advanced. i want to plan something really special for her. i want it to be a big deal. because i never had a baby shower. she's my first daugher so i've never planned a 1st birthday before. whatever i arrange, id want it all filmed so she can look back on it when she's older. also i have no idea about gift idea's. what does a mother get for her daughters 1st birthday? i want to give her something she can keep for ever. any suggestions?
