We have been together for four years and lived together the whole time. We also have a two year old. We have dicussed marriage many times. But he always changes the subject. We are currently not living together because I think that he needs to get his priorities together. We are still together, just not living together. We have been living in separate residences for nearly six months now and are almost positive we will be divorcing eventually. What are the advantages/disadvantages--if any--of making the separation "legal"? We have been in a relationship for 19 years, married for 4 of those years, and have two children together. Where would I go to file? We live in Ohio.
