What's wrong with just walking up to a woman and saying ..."Hi, my name is ________."

I just don't get it! Who made up all those creepy pick-up lines? And who said it was good to use them. Have any of them really worked for you?

All I hear about is how men are jerks, and only notice other women other than the one they're supposed to be caring about, and all they want out of women is sex, and don't really care. Is this true? And after two people get married, love flies out the door, and all they ever do is argue. So is there really such a thing as love??? I am a bitter cynic...

We've been together 23 years, I knew by the things he did that he couldn't have been inlove with me. we've been going through a very bad patch during the past 2 years. done the counseling but he didn't admit to her the truth about his behaviour. He has never been with other women, but he wanted to and would have had he been offered it, (those are his words). He said he only stuck with me because he couldn't get anyone else, and wanted to prove he could get someone. I feel so dead inside to know that through everything i did for him he was feeling this way towards me. I worshipped him and i think he knew that so knew i'd always be there. I was just a mother to him. He came back tonight to talk saying he had problems and wanted to be with me, but then after much talking i told him he had to ask himself one question and that was Did he love me YES or NO? and depending on his answer we knew which path to take. So i asked him and he said NO. He's left now, i'm so upset and can't stop crying

My husband won't empty the pickup truck full of trash that is parked in our yard. He also won't help with health insurance or home repairs. When I try to talk to him about it, it becomes a big fight with him yelling at me violently. He also blames everything on my PMS. I can't stand the trash in the yard, or the repairs our home needs or the fact that if anything gets done, it has to be me. I don't think this is fair at all. Sometimes, I wish to be divorced and think a husband is worthless since I have to do everything myself anyway. But our children love him and he does have a full-time job and helps watch the children while I work. I am very unhappy.

My brother needs helping establishing himself work-wise and home-wise in our home country which is a 27 hour flight from USA. My bro hasn't been in the country for 40 year. My pup isn't exactly a toy breed(i didint see him in the toy breed section). He is year old, 21 pound rat terrier. He's starting to have breathing fits (coughing weezing or sneezing), the weezing only used to happen in his sleep but now in happenes at least twice a day...i was looking at questions similar to mine and it looks to me that he might have kennel cough or collapsing trachea. My parents say that if it gets to serious then we'll take him to the vet but i'm afraid that if we wait he could pass away...i'm currently on vacation so i'm (obliviously) not near my vet...what can i do for my pup to help him breath better while i'm on vacation?

My husband who cheated on me said that either we move forward or go our separate way. He made a new commitment by saying that he has stopped all communication with the other women and will not entertain my questioning him about the affair any more. My mother-in law has started to ignore my 3-year old daughter, and out of the blue. Whenever we go over there she'll turn her back to my daughter and will just ignore her. I need some advice on how to deal with this. Should I just confront her and ask her what her problem is? Or should I keep the peace and just stay away?
