my ex boyfriend and i were together for about a year we broke up cause of difficulties to see each other...except now he said to wait for him and i want to but is it the right thing to do

Why would you wait for him? Is he coming to where you are soon? If it's going to be more than a month, go out with other people and tell him that if he cares so much, he'll be where you are. If he has no choice in the matter, don't wait and just go about your life.

Absolutely not! Either he loves you and wants to work on whatever tore ya'll apart or he is just stringing you along. Been there done that. Move on and have different experiences. There might be someone 150 times better out there.
