no... u just have to a out going personality and confident.. ur right as much as we dont like to admit it all schools are like that.. it sucks that nowadays we catoragize ourselves...we put such stock into what people wear, how they look, how much money they have... why?....b/c 10 years down the road it all means nothing.. half those "poplar jocks and cheerleaders" end up overweight and unhappy and the not so poplar ones are the successful happy ones b/c they strived harder and made something of themselves and knew what it felt like to b the underdog and refused to b that their whole life....

Pretty? Not necessarily, but it helps. Confident? YES! Confidence is the key to popularity. Daring to be yourself without worrying about what other people think makes you stand out. Beauty goes a long way because let's face it, in high school most of us are a tad bit shallow. lol. There were a lot of unattractive popular people at my high school, and this was because they were humorous, athletic, or outgoing. But let this "old lady" give you a few words of wisdom. When high school is over, you'll be in college where there are no popular people, or cool crowds. You'll be in school with people from all ages, backgrounds, and social interests. Don't focus on being involved with only the "popular" people. Practice being able to get along with all different kinds of people because im pretty confident that those are the ones you'll be friends with during your college experience.

You sound like you have low self-esteem and no plans for the future. It all begins at home. The bunch of losers with whom you are so eager to mix are just that, a bunch of losers since they place too much value on unessentials.
The reality of the situation is this: You do not attend school in order to socialize of fit in with anyone. You are there to get an education so that you may be well equiped for adulthood. Meeting other students and being approved by them is not key in life. Most of them will end up in dead-end jobs barely making it finantially and will work hard to give the appearance of success without really having it. Is that what you want???
I believe that you are too cute, too precious, and too important to waste your time with their nonsense. You are in training for something great so prepare, study, and do not let some losing crowd determine your self esteem. Can you say Kelly Bundy? If you want to be a waitress and date losers all your life, not to mention the bastard child that you may have, then go ahead and "fit" in.
I dear to believe that you will rise above the "peer pressure" and overcome, that you will prepare yourself, and be successful. You go, girl!!!

If you think you are pretty then you will act like it. When I was in high school all the "beautiful" people in my opinion where ugly because they where rude inconciderate uncaring people, and no I never got picked on, but I seen who they picked on and in my eyes thier mean actions made them look very ugly. Looks are not everything about a person when you get older people will look far deeper into then your looks. It's your actions they will be looking at.

Every high school I have ever seen is about the same. The "pretty" people are the popular people.
