I seem to have some dysfunction when it comes to making something as simple as a friend. Im currently in a live-in relationship and in my junior year of college. For some reason I just can't find it in myself to get a friend, and I have no one to confide in. Where do you find a friend??

Like I asked a couple Mos ago, My GF is very controlling. Somehow, she managed to ride the storm and once again I find myself under her control. Please do not tell me bad stuf nor insult me. I am no wimp, I just happen to love a woman that I never knew would be so cunning. She needs to control all aspects of the relationship, and she does it with loving cunning tactics. She is no tyrant, but she sure wants to hold the throne, and, in my desire to please her, I feel I am sinking lower and lower under her belt.
She mixes my love for her, with my supposed and unconditional surrender to her authority. She makes it very difficult for me to react, becasue when I do, she turns into the most loving woman ever on the Earth, and , if I press on an issue, she can go from cunning to explosive. That scares me, I never had situations in which I had to confront women getting mad or hystrerical, and in my efforts to calm her down, I end up giving up to her.

Well I've been pessimist all my life and I was fine with that. 5 years ago I've met a girl and we lived together until she left 2 years ago. Since then my life went down the drain. I think I am obsessed with her and keep on trying to win her back when even I know that's impossible. I tried anti-depressants, another girls, church going, new friends etc. Few weeks ago my dad passed away and instead of thinking about him I keep thinking about her all the time. My life looks so dark that I just listen to sad songs and think about suicide. Is there any other way? Or my life is already gone?

I was in a bad car accident in 12-2004.I had many breaks-too many to list.Anyhow, I now have to have a full hip replacement.I have a new orthopedic who dosent want me to take pain meds(which I have been on and still am) and acts like we have all the time in the world to do the surgery.I am in constant pain, due to the fracture which is still there and the bones are growing the wrong way.How can he expect me to not take meds and be in pain?Then I have had to see him and another dr in his practice.One says its goung to be better and put me on more pain meds.The other says it might not get better and dont wnat me to take meds.What do I do?I would appreciate any help.But especially if you have had any kind of hip replacement or if you have a medical background.Thanks.P.S.I tried to put this in health q but noone anawered.

The father of my girls is a recovering alcoholic who is really a sweet man but sometimes irresponsible ( ex:: he got upset because some body broke into his truck and he went on a 4 day binge-didn't know if he was dead -not the 1 time!) but he is a great dad and he is trying to do all he can not to lose me and to change. ( help around the house, make me coffee in the morning and give me his paycheck.). The other guy is someone I think about every day and love very much but I think I love him more than he loves me. He has money ( owns 2 properties and has a great job) and he wants to pay for a tummy tuck and breast implants but I am not sure of his motives. I feel that he thinks I would look "good on his arm" - I am pretty I've been told-Im 42, I have had 6 children (22 , 18, 14,9,3,18 mos.old) + I have the face and body of a 30 year old. The man I am with is faithful, handsome , a hard worker and affectionate but the other guy would be better from a financial viewpoint. Suggestions ??

in the past he would never do this again, he lied to me and after a 4 year relationship I found like 7 phone numbers of girls. Everytime I call these girls they WONT COME OUT WITH THE TRUTH! I keep dating these guys that I know won't work out. If I weigh the pros and cons, the cons outweigh the pros by a landslide. But these guys make me feel so comfortable and loved. When a guy comes along that absolutely wants to worship me and adore me, I avoid it. All logic should tell me I should go with the guy that has a good life and wants to share it with me, but instead I go with the guys that are unstable and are clearly nothing but trouble and heartbreak.
