Forget the CSA; they are just overpaid clerks and are all useless. This man doesnt want anything to do with his kids, or he would raise hell to get to see them. Forget him and move on- the CSA can make him pay you, but they will knock it off any benefit you get . They cut my benefit by £50 a week when I had three kids under six- when I asked them why, they said my ex had told them he was paying me £50 every week, when he never ever paid me a penny. I sold furniture, washing machine, even my bed, to put food on the table, and it was 18 months before they believed me. The CSA in any case cannot intercede to get him to see his kids- have you tried Social Services- they may spout a load of mumbo-jumbo at you, but they are slightly more human than CSA. Very good luck

You are quite right, the government lets us down very badly, every single day of the week. And not just in the area of child care and support, or the CSA in particular. The whole country is in a mess, and the political system has been a shambles for 500 years.

My mate works for the CSA and she has always told me to threaten them with going to my MP. Don't give up - when my ex messes me around I phone and ask for an update every week. It took a long time for maintenance payments to start but the money now pays for my son's holiday club. The CSA really don't have a great record but don't give up - unless you are on benefits then let them chase him - and remember that child maintenance is not taken into consideration when you apply for tax credits

There are men that aren't interested in their kids. Sad, but true. Ask around - you'll find out that most men soon lose interest in their kids after a split. (Until the new girlfriend comes along!) It takes two to make a relationship and when it doesn't work, it is because one wasn't interested. So - move on. Get your life together. Don't play games - if he wants to see the kids, and you think it is good, then do let him. Every child deserves two parents but you cannot make someone love their children.
I've been there - the damage done is irreversable and horrible. So good luck.

Do you have his national insurance number? If so, then give it to csa immediately. Keep badgering them. I had to cos my ex stopped paying for 5 months. In the end, they sent his employer a deduction of earnings order so he had to pay. Unfortunately, he was made redundant about 6 weeks ago so i'm back to square one.

I feel this government goes above and beyond for the women and children...it's what causes the men to be MIA,{missing in action} and not want anything to do with any of it...money, time, or any of the other gripes that seem to always come up.
