For me, it was finding the one that wouldn't abuse me, cheat and lie, etc. I had a whole lifetime of that and got sick and tired of it. I also found someone that loves, respects, and cherishes me. He treats me like a God and has me on a pedestal, like I do him. We laugh a lot, joke around a lot but also know when and how to be serious, are able to communicate and get our points across to each other without any problem.
I believe it depends on what you are looking for in a mate and what your mate is looking for in a mate. If you both have what the other wants/needs in a mate, and that person makes you happy (not just part of the time, but at least 99% of the time), and you love them, and you have that gut feeling that you know this is the one you should be with for the rest of your life, then that is the one for you. But, remember, any relationship takes a lot of hard work, love, patience, and even more work. It also takes a lot of good communication between the two of you. If you don't have those things, then it won't work out.

its really hard to explain but u will feel it and u just know thats its the right person and sometimes they will be in and out of ur life but eventually when the time is right it all comes together!

You never really know.
You change, and whether or not men want to admit it too, they change.
A good indicator is how flexible is that person mentally? Can they stretch around in their own personality?
