He is in love with me (and seriously, he is) but i am not sure i am in love with him. I am only 17 and would feel more comfortable being in a 'steady' relationship without the complications of love yet..
However, I dont want to tell him this because I am worried that he will think we should finish because i do not 'love' him. But I do need to tell him to get across my true feelings.
How should i tell him - plz plz help!?

No Love? No Glove! Just Hit Him With It.

How could you even contemplate a "steady relationship" without love? I think that you don't even know yet what love is. And that is not a problem, nor should you make it one.

My advice is to take your time and let your emotions develop in a natural way. If you start having relationships without love and the right feelings, you could end up in a vicious circle for the rest of your life.

If you don't love the boy, just tell him. Be gentle and friendly, in particular when he loves you. By not telling him you only build up lies and emotions for a later breakdown that is waiting to happen.
Over the years I fell in love with quite a few girls who did not feel the same for me. I always respected their decision, learned my lesson from it and moved on. It was worth waiting for the right one, and I am very happy now.

Well I am wondering...if you are sure you do not love him, why it would matter if he ended the relationship.

I can think of two possibilities - either, you are using him, in which case you should stop, and get a life of your own,

or, you do caremore about him than you think - which is fine.

You sound confused, and maybe it would help to talk things through with someone you trust.

It is best to tell your b/f what you have said here - just be honest with him. You can be kind too. Wait for a while until you understand more about what's going on for you.

Good luck.

What u dont do is something stupid- like cheating on him or whatever. I'd tell him that u dont think that ur ready to fall in love yet and that its not his fault. If u want to keep seeing him, ask him if he'll wait for u. If u dont, tell him that u cant be in a relationship that ur not ready to commit to, when the other member of the relationship is. Good luck :)

All you can do is tell him the truth. You by decieving him. If you are not serious with him, and you are not truthful with him, eventually he will see that you are not a trustworthy person, and he will not want to be with you any way, and he may hold bad feelings toward you as well as have bad things to say. The truth is always the best thing when it comes to affairs of the heart.

It really depends on how he really feels about you. If you're scared to loose him, then you care more then you say you do. You may not be in love with him, but you could still love him. Love isn't scary, it's just a feeling, like you love your parents and dogs... Just let it be. Water is wet, the sky is blue.
