Everyone, or at least many peole, remember that 'one special summer' in their lives - could be when young, or growing up, first love, did something really cool, etc that they remember with nostalgia... When was it for you, and what happened?

The summer of 1976 - bloody hot here in the UK, I was just a kid but remember long days playing in the local fields, spending all summer making a treehouse, splashing about in rivers, it was just such a long hot summer, it seemed to never end.
Second best one was spending the summer fixing up my boyfriends Suzuki GS750 and making it into a low-rider. I learnt so much that summer, and it was just the two of us welding, painting and having a few beers. Nothing amazing to anyone else, but he was my first true love, so it was special to me.

Last summer - July 2005 - when I was one of the organisers of the world's largest tall ship race.

yes it was really really hot,but i was really hotter getting humped on the park grass by my first boyfriend,i thought i was in love and i would be with him forever,he dumped me the next day

1976 boy was it hot that year, just met a new boy friend and spent all our free time walking around hyde park.... beautiful

yes was 8 and i won the relay race at school it was the only sporting event that i won
