Do you think it's possible for maxi pad manufacterers to use that plastic for back of their maxi pads?

Also, do you think there will be enough corn to feed the poor in overseas countries if we continued to use this new biodegradable plastic made out of corn?

Hi Guys!
It's that "wonderful" time of year again when the Christmas gods decide to bless us with bitter cold temperatures and to make sure we are completely cranky flakes, flakes and more flakes of pretty, pain in the butt snow! I was just wondering is it snowing where you live? I live in Nova Scotia and the weather just keeps on snowing and snowing...The weather changes every 5 minutes. For some reason whenever I wake up in the morning the sun goes back under the clouds. Ugg! So is it snowing where you are and if so is it a bad storm or little flurries?

I just saw a classroom video that said water pollution means anything that is in the water that doesn't naturally belong there. By that definition, isn't fluoride a pollutant?

they are very near to them they are just on the north pole, i suggest that the US ought to rescue them before it's too late... there's no need to depend on other countries but since they are so close to them they might as well do their part to safe these animals...and those in Alaska too.....sometimes we just have to give in to help others, there's a miracle behind all this.....

cause more pollution in the environment?

I am having a fight with someone over the use of the iphone, and one of their points was that the factories in which the iphones are made causes more pollution in the environment. I don't exactly know more than what...but does it actually cause an excessive amount of pollution?

Under the Federal Clean Air Act, private businesses and governmental agencies that succeed in keeping their emissions below the permissible limits dictated by the Environmental Protection Agency can earn pollution credits. Holders of these credits can sell them to other organizations that have trouble keeping their emissions within the limits, or can retire them permanently, thus reducing the potential of further pollution.
State agencies in New York have amassed millions of dollars in pollution credits. Recently the state has sought to lure businesses to New York by offering the credits for free. That is, if a company agrees to set up a plant or office in New York then the state will give them some of the pollution credits that it (the state) has earned. This new approach for attracting business into the State of New York is highly controversial. Widespread protests forced the state of Maine to back away from a similar approach. Do you vote in favor of NY law or against it, and why

I hear people claim NASA says this or NASA says that. Do they have an infalable leader? Do they have to profess to a certain opinion before they are hired? Are NASA scientists like the Stepford Wives? Do they vote? Do they have an official template? If they say the wrong thing, are they fired? Are they like academic scientists who are afraid of the private sector because the private sector demands results?

Can anyone offer some insight here?

Global warming and the melting of the arctic sea ice are happening at an even greater rate than scientists originally thought. It seems that we usually respond with laws and panic after-the-fact. Why isn't the government treating this as the crisis that it is?
