Be patient. Global warming has been a long slow effort, but the results have been worth it. Global warming actually began close to 26,000 years ago, during the last great ice age. An ingenious caveman rationalized that the fire in the cave melted some of the snow and ice, and that if humans could just make a big enough fire then the glaciers would melt. They weren't quite correct on the science, nonetheless they got the results they were seeking, with spectacular results. Much of North America and Europe, which were once buried under ice are now nice habitable places. We should be grateful to these unknown but far thinking individuals.

Crazy people have crazy answers, like Georgia has never had a drought before like it has never been warm in December,in the 80's they warned us of the coming ice age now its Global Warming,Please make up your minds,I need to know if I should be stocking up on warm clothing or sun block, remember Al Gore is pimping a movie and a book not to mention all those speaking engagements which he flies to releasing tons for Green house gasses with every flight, and lets not forget all the grant money given out to all those climate scientists,if there is no problem it would be kind of hard to ask for millions more in research money to research a problem that does not exist so of course they have to find a problem and the bigger the problem the more money they get to study the doom to come. Get real.

Er well just because it's cold today doesnt mean the world wont be hot and horrible in 10 years or so. We're not gonna see the immediate effects of ALL our actions for many years to come. Plus global warming is slow and will probably only result in a couple of degrees of change, but even that is catastrophic for our earth that's in a fine balance.
So...don't expect it to warm up today so you can go to the beach jsut because of global warming!

Just b/c its cold in certain areas, there are other parts of the world that are warming up. Glaciers are continously melting b/c of the gradual increase in water temperatures and that is slowly raising the sea level which in years to come may play a role on the coastlines.

Greetings, global warming is not just heat and humidity. It's basically a breakdown in the atmosphere so that all conditions become extreme because the atmosphere is thinner and the jet stream lower at times. It can mean bitter arctic winters with heavy snow, or extremely hot dreadful summers, violent storms: hurricanes, blizzards, floods, earthquakes, ect because of the imbalance in the atmosphere. It's extreme conditions in areas that don't normally see them like the warmer temps melting icecaps, california seeing snow, tsunami's, floods, droughts.

global warmings definition is extreme highs anf lows.also, you could be getting the effect of global clouding.dust in the air that is human caused get in the clouds and water droplets form around them.these particles are bigger, meaning littler droplets.littler and more droplets means the reflected more sun.less sun, less heat.in the past 40 years the light in big cities has decreases 5%.
