I am currently developing several avenues of harnessing the energy of the oceans and tides. I currently know of at least 8 different developed methodes. Two of my methodes are, as far as I know, unique and the 3rd is an improvement in OWC generator propulsion.
I, of course would be intereted in Government grants and such, but I am sure that private industry is far more likely to actually invest in this area, as they will be able to turn free in into a product that they sell, the best business in the world get something for (basically) nothing.
If you know of any funding sources, please respond

. . . I'm new to the whole being an enviornmentalist deal... so if anyone can school me on how to get started in making some entry-level changes in my life for now, that would be great. Or some basic do's and dont's, or, well, anything at this point. Thanx!

A Connecticut city is instituting a random check program of peoples trash to see if they are throwing out recyclables in the regular trash. They will give out warnings to those who do, and if they continue fines.

A recent study showed that rising ozone levels could cut crop yields by 40% by the year 2100.

Apparently human fossil fuel use is causing ozone levels to increase. Is ozone simply another biproduct of combustion? What specifically are the main sources of ozone emissions?

Computer models break down with the number and uncertainty of parameters. Climate models have MANY parameters that are VERY hard to quantify. This is why weather models break down rendering weather predictions of more than a few days unreliable.

The predictions say that in about only 100 years the poles are going to melt. Everyone will loose their homes, animals will extinct and plants will disappear... Carbon Dioxide will heat up the earth, weather will change, with no plants oxygen will decrease, how will be survive? There is no other planet capable to sustain life to go! even with the technology it is impossible, 100 years are just around the corner, I am 23 years old + 100 years = 123, I wont see it, but I will witness the beginning of the 8th mass extinction episode of earth... my kids will live on it, and my grandchildren will have to live through it. Why we keep killing our planet and our future generations... this is murder!!!!! STOP! Green house gasses...lets put a end...

Im in my office and there are windows going the whole way around I always look out into the open sky and I don't know why I think about something flying past other than birds or clouds... I dunno, im weird.

But just then I caught something out of my eye and it was black, I looked at it thinking it was a plane just catching the light for a split second but it didn't change colour it floated like a bunch of balloons that people sometimes let go. But it wasnt in that shape I thought it was one of those planes that have a banner hanging off the back, but No plane and it was just black nothing else, the I looked away to make sure I wasn't seeing things When I looked back it looked like it looked different it was raised in the middle sort of like a shell or beetle. I don't know what this was but Im pretty freaked out. I even thought it was a bird, but it was far away and it wouldn't have been that big. Im in east London so if anyone else saw this?

What could it be?

Yesterday I sold my 4liter V6 Pickup, I planted two trees and are now part of a recycling ring in my community. It may not sound like much, but my three sons are now .00000000001% closer to a future on this planet.

What are you doing , or what are you planning to do to save the Planet ?

Since the Amazon rainforest has been described as the lungs of the world, and is undoubtedly vitally important to all of us, is it time for the United Nations to take control of it to stop all that deforestation that is going on, to grow soya or graze cattle, and start a major programme of reforestation, before it is too late?
