Yesterday I sold my 4liter V6 Pickup, I planted two trees and are now part of a recycling ring in my community. It may not sound like much, but my three sons are now .00000000001% closer to a future on this planet.

Why on 'earth' do you crave a ferrari?

'Life' is not dying fast, it is changing, always has, always will.
That's easy for me to say as I have no offspring.

Congratulations on selling the gas guzzler, I bet it feels good.

Me, I don't drive but cycle, and I will only drive again when I get my 'eco' business off the ground, and that will be with biodiesel.

I'm trying my best not to waste. Includes gas, electric, heat. We are blesed with a beautiful yard with loads of tress we only trim but do not cut. Had an old mailbox and turn it into a birdhouse-put it high in the tree and now a barn owl has moved in. I belong to freecycle groups and do my own recycle for trash day. Who says things aren't free anymore. Even the towns and cities are getting us homeowners to recycle their trash. (Hey don't want to recycle then pay for your trash!!
I don't think the world is ending. I think people are becoming more aware of things that have been allowed to happen for years and we are now here helping to clean up the mess. More and more people are willing to help clean up the water banks of rivers and streams. Even at the Cape I see people actually bending down and picking up trash along the canal. Yes the young people are being taught too.
Big congrats to the parents of today that are teaching the young to be proud of the land and ocean

I'm planning to "Chill Out" a bit.
We all know were going to die. We all know that the world we live on will in fact die. There is a great chance that this planet will be hit by an object from space and every thing will die.
I agree we should all recycle, and get rid of all large engine cars. But saving the planet! were all doomed, doomed I tell yer. I do understand really, just chill a little.

I plan to keep living my life here on earth for God and one day inheriting my place in Heaven and then I will not have to worry about the falling apart of earth in this very short lived life compared to my eternity in a kingdom called heaven. We were given a great gift by God and things are the way they are on earth because of sin. Unfortunatly I dont see this world improving much so we can all only do our share in what recycling and helping out in this world that we can.

There is no getting away with , "the end of the world as we know it." The world will never end. It will just be different, Where you won't have to worry about recycling or any of that. It will be a wonderful time and a wonderful world to live in.

My own recycling techknowlegy is so advanced that I take only 1 ten gallon bag of trash to the dump once a month. My electric bill is only about 8 dollars per month and I only use 10 gallons of gasoline a month. So I think I'm doing my part.

I think your percentages are very low, I'd say that 100% of mammals and birds are under threat of extinction. I'm planning to continue campaigning against the nuclear weapons which pose the greatest threat - even a brief nuclear conflict or accident could end it all. I aim to consume less and to grow more of my own food. Banthebombtom.

what am I doing, well I do what almost everybody else does, I talk about it, and than I forget.
the world had several large extinctions so far. so nature will solve the problem by making most species extinct, so the rest can start over.
it's a pity that all these species have to become extinct though, when it is clear that the extinction of one species was enough to solve the problem.
