I am currently developing several avenues of harnessing the energy of the oceans and tides. I currently know of at least 8 different developed methodes. Two of my methodes are, as far as I know, unique and the 3rd is an improvement in OWC generator propulsion.
I, of course would be intereted in Government grants and such, but I am sure that private industry is far more likely to actually invest in this area, as they will be able to turn free in into a product that they sell, the best business in the world get something for (basically) nothing.
If you know of any funding sources, please respond

Actually, you can get a grant to fund your research as long as you spend the money on whatever research you have. the link is below check out more about it also, beware there are plenty of grant (scams) like the cds those are scams!>?

Have you tried the business section?

You're not in the UK or Ireland, so I know little of funding, It is hard to find anyway. One way to proceed would be to get your patent applications in and then approach multiple companys who might be interested in the idea. You get a year on the patent for free before you'd need to cough up any money, giving you enough time to play one company of the other.

Good luck.

Dad, if you read this, I am interested in that European funding but you seemed to mis-type it, can you give more info?

Any such project would have to be very large. Large enough that it would take a very professional and knowledgeable manager to organize the whole thing. If you were such a person I cannot imagine you would need ask how to do it here.

I am not sure where you live but from your articulation I guess you are probably in the english speaking world even though you misspelt some words.... if you are in Europe try www.cordis.europe.eu and look for energy programmes sponsored by the European Union. They are just starting a 55 billion euro research programme .. get in now....
