Some of them are legal study books which are out of date. I'd like a green solution please.

here's my idea...follow me here...
Every time I post some FACTS about the BS that the Global Warming Religon has become, I get attacked personally, intelectually, politically, you name it. The FACTS are clear, the eart is warming at an alarming .025 degrees over the last 120 years...(pass me the sunscreen!) and there is NO...repeat NO, ZERO, NOT ONE link to man whatsoever. Mars is warming at exactly the same rate as earth and as far as I can tell they don't have SUV's there. So...all the Tree Hugging Al Gore worshippers who feel so awful about being human and actually being the top rung of the ladder here on earth should just do us a favor and off themselves. I mean you already want the rest of us to give up everything that makes our lives bearable, just to make YOU happy! You already want to declare CO2 a toxic gas, the trouble is that we exhale it! So...why don't you and Fat Albert Gore and Leo the phony DiCapprio just practice what you preach and hold your breath forever!

The spin on this has been shameless.

The plaintiffs asked that the film be banned. The judge denied that request, saying.

"The following is clear: i) [the movie] is substantially founded upon scientific research"

"[that global warming is mostly due to man, is dangerous, and can be fixed by man], are all supported by a vast quantity of research"

"I have no doubt that Dr Stott is right "Al Gore's presentation of the causes and likely effects of climate change in the film was broadly accurate."

"It is clear that the Defendant understandably formed the view that AIT was an outstanding film

There were some relatively minor points the judge found inadequate proof for (not that they were wrong), and so he ordered that an appropriate statement be made. That's all.

Scientists agree.

A british high court has ruled that schools in England MUST have study guides to prevent "political indoctrination" when showing Al Gores' comedy "an Inconvenient truth" to school students. An Australian Think Tank has found so many outright lies in the film that they started a petition to have him stripped of his Oscar and likend it to an Olympic athlete getting caught with Steroids. National geographic just published an article about how Mars is warming at the exact same rate as Earth, CLEARLY defining any "Global warming" issue as Solar Activity" and having nothing to do with man. (Unless you still think Mars is populated) So shouldn't Big Al give back his Nobel? Hasn't the Nobel lost all credibility now, or did that happen when they gave one to the worst president in the history of the world, Jimmy Carter?

Over the years a number of inventions have been discovered that would assist mankind+environment. One such invention was presented on one of the current affair programs on Australian television a number of years ago. An Australian created a generator that once cranked by an external source, created enough power not only to run itself but also to run appliances in a home. The current affair program promised it would follow it up but to this day nothing has been mentioned. And before you say it must not have been true they showed the generator working. A FREE Power source for the world. What happened? Did this male get threatened/killed/or was his patent bought out by the "Power" monopolies of this world? There are numerous other inventions that have suddenly disappeared, we are all sheep and let the big monopolies run our world and dictate our lives. We need to access patents no matter who owns them and if they can help mankind and/or nature then put them to use if the owners will not.

HERE ARE SOME FACTS YOU SHOULD BE AWARE OF:
1. The earth has been in existence for 3 billion years. Who has any proof that the Earth is heating up faster than it ever has before? Or that a hurricane that happened in 2005 was worse than some other hurricane that was never recorded? Or that the polar ice caps didn't melt this fast when the first ice age ended?
2. Polar bears can swim for hundreds of miles without drowning. They've been around longer than we have. How do you think they survived the last global warming?
3. We are in the TAIL END OF AN ICE AGE. Yes, the planet is heating up - naturally.
4. There was more carbon dioxide in the air forty years ago. EXAMPLE: When you are driving, do you often see thick, black smoke coming out of cars? NO, NOT OFTEN. Back then, that pollution was coming out of every single vehicle.
5. Studies have shown that the Sun is burning brighter than it did fifty years ago.

I have more facts, but there is no more space.

NOW PROVE ME WRONG.

An excellent example of my question is hairspray products. It was determined that aerosol cans were hurting the ozone layer and so they made plastic pump spray bottles...but yet they never stopped making the aerosol cans. Why? Something was deemed bad for the environment, an acceptable substitute was made to replace it, but instead of replacing it, we now have the either or option. In my opinion this is an extreme waste of our resources. Why have both when we only need one? I know personal preference plays a role here, but when our environment is at stake, I think personal preference should take the back burner. Instead of spending the money to manufacture 2 different bottles of the same product, one in an aerosol can and one in a plastic bottle, would it not be cheaper to put all resources into making ONE plastic bottle? Thus saving on time and labor and making the one product cheaper? This theory goes for all things, not just hair spray...hairspray is just an example...

Oil is above $80 per barrel. The price of natural gas, an energy source and important industrial feedstock, is also rising.

Americans seem to be struggling with the high cost of fuel for their cars and homes. The cost of food and energy are rising which elevates the cost of living. The dollar is falling around the world and our trade deficits grow.

In light of these, do you think that we face an energy crisis, and if so, how are you preparing?

Tomcat has recently been citing this study by Scafetta & West which concluded that the Sun may be responsible for as much as 25-35% of the warming from 1980-2000, so I thought it would be worth discussing. Here's the paper:

http://www.fel.duke.edu/~scafetta/pdf/2005GL025539.pdf

Here is Real Climate's take:

http://www.realclimate.org/index.php/archives/2006/03/solar-variability-statistics-vs-physics-2nd-round/

"S&W do not present any convincing result that would point to noticeably higher sensitivities to long-term variations. Their higher values are based on unrealistic assumptions. If they would use a more realistic climate transfer sensitivity of 0.11K/Wm-2, or even somewhat higher (0.12 or 0.13) for the long-term, and use trends instead of smooth curve points, they would end up with solar contributions of 10% or less for 1950-2000 and near 0% and about 10% in 1980-2000 using the PMOD and ACRIM data, respectively."

Any thoughts on this?

We've had car engines that run on water - or alcohol, for ages. These + other valuable technologies are suppressed so a few can make huge $. The (profit based) insanity of planned obsolesence - must end - on a global level - it is this which is burying our planet in garbage. If we don't make the hard choices & start the change ourselves - it will be forced onto us when Mother Earth flicks us off her shoulder like the parasites the human race has become deserves - when the planet shrugs, the crust moves & we are returned to the stone age.

Those selfish morons with the money & power stuffed into their greedy pockets stifle new inventions & kill off those who attempt to expose them or to set in motion a better way - because - Hey! That's just the way they are!

Meanwhile - what can we do in this controlled world - to make substantial, unstoppable changes? What can we do in our grassroots communities to make real change - NOW! Let's figure it out and get started - NOW!

That is one of the biggest taboos about evolution. That there is proof of the planet being 4.6 billion years old. Fundies believe that the creation of the planet was 4,000 years ago, and deny anything that refers to the Earth being older. Is that what we are up against when it comes to proving global warming?
