at a hazardous waste disposal site. we have one every year in our community. and people bring all kinds of paint and cleaning chemicals etc.

Depends on the contents of the aerosol can; first of all, use contents until is empty (wasting money is as bad as polluting). Then check the can to verify if the contents are recyclable; in sime states, you can recycle steel cans (shaving cream, hair mousse, deodorant). Check your local recycling facility to see if they recycle steel.

Haz waste.
A few weeks ago we had one in my town, they accepted everything like old paint buckets, old pesticides and medicine, old phones or electronics, old batteries that wont recharge anymore. Now my house is safer and my garage bigger.
Try to noy buy these cans in the first place, or buy very tiny ones

to safely keep out reach of children,better throw it in a plastic garbage,throw the plastic garbage in a garbage can somewhere in outside
*needed to have a garbage can outside
then wait those garbage collectors to collect that thing or that many garbages of yours.simple isn't it?
