too many vehicles use up more petrol which takes a long time to get back
so the less the vehicles the less the petrol used up
we should make use of renewable resources since we can get them back easily, but if we dont use these wisely there could be shortages.. like how we shouldnt waste water. renewable resources can be a substitute for renewable resources..(at times)

The best way to save non renewable resources is to increase the price of oil, water, energy. That will encourage people to decrease their use, and move to substitue items. Whether this is done by the market or government does not really matter. When petrol is cheap people don't care how much it costs, but when it doubles or triples in price people think twice about using the car, or buying a big heavy car. Population control will also reduce the demand for resources. A cultural change to make roads more bicycle friendly, environmental awareness education for people.

If we run out of them we'll be forced to switch to other resources. Carbon taxes may also encourage a switch away from the polluting sources by actually adding in the price of CO2 emission to the cost.
