How can anyone prove that global warming is human caused and/or dangerous?

HERE ARE SOME FACTS YOU SHOULD BE AWARE OF:
1. The earth has been in existence for 3 billion years. Who has any proof that the Earth is heating up faster than it ever has before? Or that a hurricane that happened in 2005 was worse than some other hurricane that was never recorded? Or that the polar ice caps didn't melt this fast when the first ice age ended?
2. Polar bears can swim for hundreds of miles without drowning. They've been around longer than we have. How do you think they survived the last global warming?
3. We are in the TAIL END OF AN ICE AGE. Yes, the planet is heating up - naturally.
4. There was more carbon dioxide in the air forty years ago. EXAMPLE: When you are driving, do you often see thick, black smoke coming out of cars? NO, NOT OFTEN. Back then, that pollution was coming out of every single vehicle.
5. Studies have shown that the Sun is burning brighter than it did fifty years ago.

I have more facts, but there is no more space.

Believe me, I am all for conserving energy by using unplugging things & using solar power. I pick up any trash I see lying around my school campus or anywhere else for that matter. I live in an area that uses well water, & I am really concerned with the cleanliness. I'm not saying we shouldn't do anything. I'm just saying that I think global warming is natural, & people are doing the wrong thing & turning it into a political ordeal.

Did you know that the U.K. banned use of Al Gore's film An Inconvenient Truth in public schools? They listed seven lies about records found in the film. A whole country against these claims? Hmm...

Does my age matter? All I will say is that for once in my life, I am really going against the grain. I am not saying that I am right. I am not saying that you are wrong. The point I am trying to make is that THERE IS NO POSSIBLE WAY TO PROVE THAT GLOBAL WARMING IS BEING SPED UP BY THE ACTIONS OF HUMAN BEINGS. I'm not talking about thirty years ago. We're talking the entire life of our planet, stories it will never tell us. Also, take a look at these claims Al Gore & others are making. They are radical (not irrational, but very dramatic). Anyone can learn from history that when someone takes a radical view of something, it ends up being either wrong or just a bad idea. When someone says anything that sounds like it might be exaggerated (e.g. humans are killing the planet, a rich girl is a smart girl), it should usually be questioned.

By the way, do any of you watch South Park? Watch the episode "Two Days Before the Day After Tomorrow." It's really funny!

LOL!! Don't let this upset you. I know where you are going with this. I agree and my research and not my denial of it all are in agreement. I have so many rants about these so called findings. Al Gore can give his noble peace prize back. The earth is way bigger then any minute human being. It goes through its own process. We just inhabit the earth, we are not in control of what the earth decides to do as far as climate. The earth is in control.

There are so many things wrong with your "facts" that I don't even know where to start.

Polar bears cannot swim hundreds of miles without rest.

The black smoke you see coming out of car exhaust pipes is NOT CO2. CO2, the major greenhouse gas produced by humans, is colorless, and odorless, and INVISIBLE!

Even if we are coming out of an ice age, and even if the Earth is warming naturally, how does that prove that humans are not increasing the heating over that of natural heating (seriously, don't you think the scientists that study this thought of that too? Or do you somehow believe you are smarter than professional scientists?)

Yes the sun has been going through a slight increase in temperature, however, it has been measured and the amount of extra heat it is generating does not explain the heat level increase here on the Earth.

Finally, we don't have information from 3 billion years ago, but from ice core samples, we do have climate data from 650,000 years ago.

In short, your "facts" are just the same old stuff that proves nothing. Do I believe in global warming? I don't know. But what I do know is that your "facts" are completely lacking logic and make no sense at all.

i won`t try to prove you wrong but i`ll tell you some other facts that you don`t seem to know.
if it was just the sun that warm up the earth, it could be fine but, not the case. just co2, not the case either. it`s more than just that. it`s also any spray products; hair spray, paint, perfum, cleaning stuff,etc... it`s also about the way we keep our house so warm, not only from the eating system but also from appliances, computer, televisions etc... anything that create heat. we did not have all these things before when the only source of heat that the people were creating was in the fire place. it`s also all of those industrial, commercial, companies. i myself live by an industry and you should see the damage the chemeny create around on our propriety. we have yellow patches all over the trees, the grass, in this town.
plus the sun, but really it`s the hole in the ozone that make the sun stronger. and at last. the polar bears. this is the only animal along with seals and penguin that certainly do needs the ice for survival. they may swim for a long time but they cannot swim to where there is no ice. it`s not for them to be where it`s warmer, they will die first.
and, i know it by now, people will always wait for a crisis to happen before they actually do something about it. because there will always being some dum blind peoples that just cannot see farther than their nose. thank you for your thumb down in advence, you will prove me right with last sentence.

You really need to be better educated. Man...I'm tempted to start laying into your so called arguments, but it's not worth my time. Wise up and read the science, not the conservative BS misinformation. Okay...here's one. How many MORE cars and trucks do you think are on the road today compared to 30 years ago. Have you been to China where you can BARELY breathe the air? While cars and trucks do burn a BIT cleaner than they used to, there are SO many more out there, that there is MORE carbon being put into the air. Further, where do you think those old cars went? YOU may not see them where you live, but this is a GLOBAL issue...those vehicles are still being driven in other parts of the world. Were you even alive 'back then' or are you just guessing? Go to China...go to India...go to the developing countries. The sun has NOTHING to do with this. You are being very foolish.

Gore is using a biased, error-filled presentation to exploit the fears of the public for his own political gain...PROPAGANDA!!
Even the National Science Teachers Association, made up of over 53,000 educators, declined 50,000 free DVDs of the film, claiming it was controversial and exaggerated.
Scientists, climatologists, and environmentalists pointed out several problems with the movie (not documentary). Gore was an actor in his own movie and he won a Nobel Peace Prize. There are brilliant men and women that have worked for years on this very thing with no recognition. Al Gore wouldn't know brilliance or hard work if it jumped up and bit him! It's disgusting!

By the way, the film wasn't 'banned'. It is to be accompanied guidance which highlights 9 minor scientific errors in it. "the judge did not dismiss the film's mainstream argument." But as you have shown, you are not interested in presenting true (or logical) "facts".

If you were around in the 70s, you would remember that these SAME SCIENTISTS said we are in a global ice-age. The winters were so cold all the time, and snow piled 12' high. People asked what was going on. "Sunlight is being bounced away from our atmosphere, causing global freezing."

Since we knew they were frauds then, they changed their minds, and are now global warming experts.

The Earth has increased an average of 1 degree over the last 100 years of recorded weather keeping. 1 friggin' degree?

i hate 2 say it but..... your an idiot!!!! by my title u could probally guess i have a good education and i have 2 words for u....climate graphs. they record the haet over a period of time and see that the earth is heating up faster then say.. 30 yrs ago. they can also take carbon tests and compare then 2 ones taken before and see the world is collecting carbon dioxide at an alarming rate. NOW PROVE ME AND 1,000'S OF OTHER EDUCATED PPL WITH HARVARD EDUCATIONS!!!!!!!!!
