The 'sceptics' accuse the 'believers' of following a dogma without any proof. When I encounter religious people I leave the rligion alone, unless they are doing any harm, what's the point in trying to change thier mind? they are generally happy in thier ignorance.

Whether global warming is proven to be an absolute fact, directly contributed to by Humans and our industry etc, it cannot be denied that the Earth has had many of these 'global warming'' cycles and 'global cooling' session well before we were here! That is an absolute scientific fact traced through ice core samples and core samples in soils and rock.
What harm are the envioronmentalists (emphasis on the the 'mental') doing...well there is a lot they are doing.
They are using scare tactics to stir up public opion and to put pressure on Governments to clean up their act. The Governments in turn will impact the people they govern...us....by raising taxes to cover research/recycling etc. The common man is the one targetted all the time instead of targetting industry and the way they package foods, transport foods and import food and goods in general.
The harm is going off half cocked. The harm is to our pockets and the economy. The harm is to the people neglected funds to survive because it is being poured into crackpot research grants, leaving hospitals choking and neglected because of lack of the diverted funds!
I want to know the reason WHY they are doing it...why are they so motivated?
Whatever the reason for the heating and cooling it should NOT be an excuse to beat the 3rd world back. It is ALWAYS about money and power!!
Temperatures fluctuate with or without us being here.....
I heard on the news the other day that the 'hole' over the antarctic is actually getting smaller....amazing that.......just a few weeks of us worrying about it and like magic....the hole has started to close up??? Has the minute amount of pro-active recycling and reducing our carbon footprint really had that much of an impact that fast or......as I suspect.......we had nothing to do with it at all and it was a NORMAL cylce!!!??
This GW is turning into the NEW RELIGION!!!!! Beware it is becoming a cult in its own right!

The 'believers of global warming can not truely be said to follow without proof as the climatic records held within the ice-cores show that the current temperature rise is far from ordinary. Although it is right to say that there have been many episodes of global warming and cooling throughout the Earths history what we are currently experiencing is classed as the 'enhanced global warming'. The data used by sceptics to show the heating and warming cycles of the Earth and the current trends as ordinary has been cherry-picked in their favour. All previous warmings have been measured over millenia, the current trends however have shown a sharp rise since the industrial revoloution at a rate that far exceeds any previous warming. Individually the separate viewpoints may be considered harmless, but the the effect is not. Those that do not believe in global warming may cause those that do to be inactive. If everyone who said that there is no point in their lowering their CO2 emmisions/being more efficient/recycling/etc because so many other arn't and that they're not going to make an impact alone actually did then all togther there would be a HUGE impact on lessening emmissions etc.

Well right now there are forest being cut down in order to grow crops for producing moonshine to use as automotive fuel primarily for the purpose of saving the planet, driven by the carbon neutral concept invented by AGW environmentalists.

The followers of the Global Warming Obsession certainly sound like a fundamentalist religious sect. I agree that religious delusionists should be left to burble on, but this group seem to want to micromanage the lives of non-believers and tax the whole world. Perhaps they can be encouraged simply to wear open toed sandals, eat brown rice, and to leave the rest of us alone.
