I'd prefer some way to trigger a programable switch remotely at a maximum depth of 250 feet... from a distance of at least 300 feet from center of the target area .. should be able to trigger one switch without affecting others nearby (like a morse code signal).. cheap?

I was watching the discovery channel and they were claiming something was 30 billion years old or some such. This stikes me as a deception. Is carbon dating real? And how can we know for sure?

We live in the mountains, but I know the deer go into much lower elevations. There are so many deer on our property because hunting isn't allowed around here. They're like wild cattle and here's the part that's making me NUTS...a buck is attacking my tied up little dog in my front yard! Is any one else having trouble with deer? They don't hardly move over for cars to pass! What can I do? There's got to be some country people out there that can relate to what I'm saying. We've lived here (my family) for about 40 yrs and never had such problems.

I've been searching forever to find pictures of what some scienctists believe what the earth would look like after global warming occurs. I really want to see how the worlds coasts will be affected, and especially how the tropics and colder regions of our plaent will be affected.

Please, no 'Global Warming is not true' answers. And I would love a link too.

I don't mean sulfuric smog, like in Donora, Pennsylvania, in 1948 (4000 fatalities), or Glasgow, Scotland in 1911. I mean the photochemical smog created by vehicle exhaust, like the smog over Los Angeles. Apparently, L.A. smog was at a crisis stage in the 1950s, but I don't know if there were any fatalities. Please substantiate your answer with sources. Thanks.

With very high projected amounts of carbon dixode emitted from the Earth in 2100 from fossil fuels, what do you think Earth will look like; and do you think most life on Earth will be interurepted? We could be like our sister planet, Venus with the green-house gas.

If you are still using them - Why? What are you doing to lower your carbon footprint? I'm only interested in people who believe that humans can effect climate change - If you don't believe in it then you obviously are not doing anything.

How is it we can send probes outside the solar system but we can't keep squirrels out of power stations or keep ice from knocking out power lines?

How hard can it be to come up with a 20 year plan to upgrade our entire power distribution system?
