I am currently a teacher and it's been a few years since I've interviewed, and I have one coming up soon, so I have a few questions.

1. What kinds of questions are asked that I should prepare for/research ahead of time?
2. What takes place in a second interview? I received my job after the first interview, but I was told there are second interviews for the position I am interviewing for.
3. I also need to redo/update my portfolio, which I haven't touched since student teaching...anything specific I should add? What order/sections should I put it in?

Anything else you can add to help me out? :)

Thanks!

I am a first year teacher, and I really enjoy the district I am teaching at. I would not mind teaching there another year, but I would much rather be close to my home town. Plus, the pay at the school district is very low for the state average. So I am looking to move closer to my home town and make more money.

Now the problem is, I don't want to turn in my resignation without knowing for sure that I am going to get the type of job that I want. However, I must sign my contract by the end of March in order to secure my current position. I am afraid this however would take me out of the running for any open teaching positions close to my house.

So how hard is it to get out of a teaching contract in Missouri if I find a new job and already have a contract signed with my current school district.

is it okay she and tells you you're the worst student in the whole school, and that you have a brain of a 9 year old... i really think my teacher is crazy, she's a sex maniac, talks about nothing else, and then she complains about you, because you don't give her compliments like "you're so beatiful", wich she is definatly NOT!!! she's 50, big as an elephant... god!!!

but the point is... should she be allowed to teach? it's not like she encourage you to learn...

Hi, I viewed the video of the student disrespecting the national anthem. I live in Toronto, Ontario Canada, I work as an educational assistant in a catholic high school. This problem about students not respecting the national anthem is worldwide. Where I work we have the same student attitude. Some not all high school students are disrespectful of the national anthem. Talking out loud, listening to Ipods, checking out their cell phones, etc. I know how an adult can lose control over these kinds of behaviours. It is very frustrating to say the least. Young people of today are out of control. To think that these young people are our future! Very scary indeed!

I have this lesson on addition and subtraction using a felt apple tree and felt apples to display the problem and find the anser. I have a lesson that I have to present tomorrow in music and I need to find a music song to go along with it. I found this one song sung to the tune of this old man:

Four red apples on a tree
2 for you and 2 for me
So-o shake that tree and watch them fall
1-2-3-4..that is all

I just feel that it is too short since this is a music class. Can you please help me and give me feedback as to if you think the song is too short or any other songs I can use.

Thank you so much.
