Please, does anyone know if an individual can become a teachers assistant/aid/ paraprofessional teacher with a GED in the state of Florida? Or must you have a High School Diploma. Please answer if you know. I need to know in order to decide what direction to go with my life. Thank you for your time!

I am not too sure what a paraprofessional teacher is but I am in my third year of studying to be a teacher. I am also in Australia so I dont think I can help with most of your question. However I was a teachers aid before deciding to be a teacher and it is extremely rewarding, especially if you work in special ed. I was working with learning disabled kids and I only had a acert 4 in teachers aid whihc toke a year to complete. Hope this helps
