I will be completing my Bachelor in Philosophy soon and will begin a program to obtain a Master in Humanities to be able to teach philosophy at the community college level. Are there any teaching related positions that I can persue with only by Bachelor's degree before I end up at a community college? Perhaps I may be able to teach 100 or 200 level courses, or something else I haven't thought of? Thanks.

I am thinking about ditching corporate America. I am not cut out to be a drone. Noe of my friends think I should become a teacher. But they all gove the same two reason: The kids are bad, and I won't make any money. Well .... The kids can't be worse than I was when I was in school and I am not exactly breaking the bank with my current salary, although teaching does pay noticably less than what I am making now. So should I? or not?

My whole life I've wanted to be a teacher and I just dont know anymore. Going on to college I'm scared and I was wondering if there are any teachers out there how would help me. I dont know what I would do if I didnt do this my whole life i planned on being a teacher and what if I'm not right for this what if i fail children as a teacher. Help I really really need it!

In 1996-1997, I was 13 and in 7th grade, the grade in which Texas students were required to learn Texas history. My teacher was this good-looking, dark-haired, light-eyed man of 6'5" who still holds the title of "the only man Iris ever loved" because I've still never even had a 1st date! But my OCD mind has trouble sleeping because of this fear I developed around the time of Hurricane Rita last year -- that among all his knowledge of Texas history IS NOT the fact that in 1900 a hurricane wiped out Galveston! What if he goes through life thinking that NEVER IN THE HISTORY OF MANKIND HAS A HURRICANE TOUCHED PRESENT-DAY TEXAS? How do I set him straight if he wants nothing to do with me? He never answers my letters or emails and would hang-up his phone at the sound of my voice, not to mention the fact that while 10 years ago he lived here around Houston he has since moved to Austin. I REFUSE to drive 200 miles to have him to ignore me. How do I let him know that Texas can get hurricanes?
