I think there is more to the story than she is telling you. That answer is vague at best. I would ask her to accompany you to counseling to work on a reunification date. If she refuses, you should go by yourself to see if you can sort out what is going on with the two of you. The old saw is "Men leave a relationship for another woman, and women leave to be alone." Maybe she really does need "some time," but I would try to find a way to make it happen inside the parameters of your marital home. Good luck.

It depends on why are you two separated in the first place? If she felt like she was being ignored by you, then she wants to see if life is better without you in it. That may seem mean, but I did it too. I lived with a guy for 4 years & e rarely spoke a word to me. I spent a lot of time at home alone wondering wy he doesn't love me enough to just talk to me. I always hear that women like to talk more than men, but is 10 minutes a day too much to ask? I mean, he wanted sex, I wanted to talk! Both are about 10 mins long (he fell asleep after wards). It is a GIVE & take. If you don't give anything she needs, you recieve nothing back.

Looking for an "average" is a bad idea. Your wife is a specific person with a specific idea of what she wants or what she is searching for. Use the time apart to decide how your life should continue whether with her or not. Once you know what you want in a relationship, you will be in a better position to give her what she needs or survive if she doesn't come back. Best of luck to you.

Usually, when a woman decides "she needs time for herself", that can't be a good thing. Wait a little if you will, but then move on. Life's about moving on. Yeah, sick, I know, but that's what it's like.

She won't be coming back! You are missing the big picture bud, that's why she's gone!

It sounds like she is stringing you along, and using you for a booty call "from time to time".
