I will be completing my Bachelor in Philosophy soon and will begin a program to obtain a Master in Humanities to be able to teach philosophy at the community college level. Are there any teaching related positions that I can persue with only by Bachelor's degree before I end up at a community college? Perhaps I may be able to teach 100 or 200 level courses, or something else I haven't thought of? Thanks.

Some states will allow you to teach in CC after you get 18 hours towards your MA. A BA in Philosophy does not allow you many options outside of education. In theory, you should have good communication skills because philosophy is all about expressing and communicating ideas. You might be able to secure any number of industry or education positions with good communcation skills.

After you get your MA, I advise you begin work on a second one. Literature and history complement philosophy. If you can get 18 hours toward a second MA, you will be more marketable in the CC community.

You could get a K-12 sub license and be a substitute teacher for a while. Many states allow you to do that with a BA/BS. Not quite the grade level you're thinking of basing your career on I know, but it's still teaching experience. (Somewhat anyway...subbing in highschool generally involves either pushing "play" on a VCR/DVD player and/or handing out a worksheet)

I don't think you can teach as a teacher but you might be able to work as a graduate assistant to a tenured teacher.
