and said he felt that his teacher had been on at him for nothing? he was looking at a piece of paper (which was the milk list) because he had seen his name on it, so as he was looking at it, his teacher said " thats not for you noisy kid!" loud enough for all his class to hear! even the class assistant said to the teacher that she felt that it was a bit harsh calling him that, and then the teacher just laughed! My son is not a naughty kid, he's bright and well mannered. He said the other day there was a boy laughing quitely next to him and she called my son and said are you laughing and he said back "sorry no miss" she said "are you being smart!?"but he wasnt. I feel as a mother I should go and have a word with his teacher, but my son said I should'nt he will deal with it? I;d like to see what everyone else thinks. Is he right? should I leave him to it and hope he can handel her or should I point out to the teacher that she is being unfair?

I am in year 10, have interests in maths, science and history, and maybe would like to work in a maths and finances or psychiatry field when I finish school. I have no idea of where to go for this and would appreciate any suggestions you may have.

So next year i have the option to go to a high school that i am not zoned for to take IB classes where as the high school i would go to does not offer that program

IB classes are like AP classes except they are only offered at magnet or world schools, it is a complete program (freshman through senior) where as AP is not, after you graduate from the program you are automatically given a millenium schollarship and it looks a hell of a lot better on schollarship and college applications. I have no idea what i should do!!!! help if you can please!!!

Find chinese characters hard to remember, could barely understand an article written in the newspapers. Can someone help me to improve? Are there any books available that list the more commonly used words in Chinese language. Wish to remember about 500~1000 of them for a start. Reading the dictionary can be quite boring at times and frankly, most explaination in those chinese dictionaries are more difficult than the actual character you've looking up for.

I am interested in the social sciences (namely writing, polisci, languages, journalism, and philosophy.) I am willing to hear about programs just about anywhere in the world. I really want prestigious ones only (ones that will look good on a college resume.) Please include any links! Thanks!

I see questions on here so many times that are clearly an essay type question from homework or tests. Do you actually get answers that you would get anything better then an F for?

My school teacher always call us read and read and memorise..but I don think this is a good way to make positive thinking student, exam oriented education is important, but all it does is growing knowledge and abilities but not positive thinking!!(how about you, name some reason about it)

When you move, does the guidance counselor look at the grades you got in your previous school to determine what classes you should take in your new school? Do they look at your transcript?

Would Montessori be a good fit for a child with Asperger's or a traditional school? My 8 year old has it very mild but the I know some of the boys find him a little different. He is also very smart and most 8 year old in his current class are not into the same types of stuff he is into like history, traveling, etc. He has a hard time fitting in with most boys since he is sensitive but he does get along with the girls better which my husband gets worried. I just thought he would thrive better at a Montessori setting but would it be too competitive?

I need to have a fundraiser. We need only about $60 for each of 12 highschool kids. Me and some students are going to beat the system and not give the money to our school because there is someone with access that is stealing the cash. I needs to be a bit of a DL plan.

By the way that is 720 dollars.

What is year round schooling to you??? And do you think we should switch, why??

You go to school for 45 days, you get 15 off (spring break), you go to school for 45 days, you get 30 off (summer break), you go to school for 45 days, you get 15 off (fall break), you go to school for 30 days, you get 3 days off (thanks giving), you go to school for 15days, you get 15 days off (winter break), Then you start over again...

To me, this doesnt show any room for students to get burnt out, they get more breaks and they are longer then the normal. (2weeks). More family trips. . .

Please list your age.
