When you move, does the guidance counselor look at the grades you got in your previous school to determine what classes you should take in your new school? Do they look at your transcript?

Yes, they must in order to learn more about you, your needs, and your strengths and weaknesses. Only then can they decide what classes you should take and in what activities you should be involved. They just try to make the move as smooth as possible for you.

Not really. unless you flunked a required class...

If u got a d minus in spanish they arent going to forbid you from going to spanish 2

BUT if you did HORRIBLE in Algebra 1 then they might make you take an intergrate geometry/algebra 2

Their job is to see if you meet all of the graduation requirements plus any additional classes that will get you into college, if college is your goal. Other than that, you can graduate with a 2.0 GPA. I hope that is not you.
