I am doing dissertation today and just cannot look at it anymore i am sick of it. it is due in soon so i could hand it in just now. I feel it is a lot of rubbish and i am so scared i am going to fail but dont have the energy to change it or even look at it.
My tutor is hopeless and i have no confidence in her. what should i do? should i hand it in and hope for the best or what?
I did a lot of work over the summer on it and am just sick of it now. has anyone else felt like this?

I have a teacher that I took a class with 3 years ago and he used to make jokes about how he was unlucky in love. He was single at the time. His jokes were really very funny, though. He became engaged 9 months ago. However, last week he hosted an event at college and he was STILL making jokes about him being unlucky in love. What does it mean?

I am writing GMAT in 10 days to apply for an MBA for Fall 08. I have a MS in Computer Science but desperate to get out of my current IT job & relocate to Boston or NY. I think i'll score 650 on the GMAT. It is my understanding that if I score over 700+, I have a good chance in schools ranked #15 to #25 (leave aside other admission factors). With 650, I might have a good chance in schools ranked #26 to #40.
Alongside, usnews.com states that salary grade falls near $100K for people from #15 to #25 but abt $75K from #26+.
It's a rough estimate... I am already near the $70K mark. So should I apply for 2008 if I get 650 OR rewrite and apply for 2009 ?

Personally, I don't think I'll get more time to prepare on a 2nd attempt & quite unlikely that I'll cross 700 in the 2nd try. I am pretty desperate to get into a program & switch my career at the earliest but I'm told that if I don't do an mba from a high ranking school, i am just wasting my time.

Need some solid advice

So I went abroad this past semester and passed 3 out of my 4 classes! Although my home university only takes pass/fail and the grades are not calculated into my gpa, it is still on my transcript. The worst part of it, is that I studied really hard for the subject, but failed to due well due to different school systems (I found it really hard to adapt to an international system and realized how much I took the US school system for granted). At my home university, my report card is full of A's and B's. I have my future career planned out, I was planning to go to graduate school. I mean, I'm definitely not falling behind credit wise (I have more than enough), I'm just worried about not getting into graduate school.

The subject I failed is a part of my major but it's an elective for my major not a required course. But still..

I am moving to Chicago in the summer and need to finish my degree while I'm there. I've already completed 2 years at a 4 yr university. I'll be entering as Junior but I haven't taken any math or science classes (long story on that) so the guy at UIC told me that I probably won't get in bc of no math/science... so I thought about Roosevelt University because it's downtown and I'm a little strapped on what I can afford. Does anyone know if this is a good school? I had never even heard of it before I started researching schools in Chicago. I know it's a smaller school, but I don't know if it's worth a damn?

Today is the last day of finals week. I turned in two extra credit essays (3 pages each) for a class and my prof emailed me back saying that they made no difference to my grade and I still had an A-. I'm perfectly happy with that, but because I felt that the work I did was kind of wasted, I decided to email her again and see what the cutoff was for an A, and if I could do one last assignment to get the necessary points. I really wasn't suggesting for her to do anything unethical.

She replied in a long email saying, basically, that I was trying to cheat the system and that I was asking her to be unfair to other students. This was not my intention at all. Even though I was pretty sure she would say no, I had to try one last time, since professors in the past have accepted extra credit at the last minute. How can I revive her impression of me (in email format)? I have her next semester, and I really don't want to start the class off with her thinking of me as some slacker. Thanks!

Back in 2006, I did somthing very stupid. I used to hang out with the wrong crowd, did many things that I regret. I was such a stupid teen that always took actions without thinking. Now, I'm in my senior year where i find my self filling in college applications. And I find myself comming towards the part where it says "Have you ever been convicted for violation of federal, state or municipal law, regulation or ordinance, other than minor traffic violations? If yes, please explain with dates, circumstances, etc.". Getting into this college is very important to me, and i'm afraid that in this part If I dont write it to the point where they understand my position, then i wont be able to get accept. I'm not such a great writer, as you can tell. Can someone please help me on writing this part, so It can sound good and understandable. Here some information.
