In England and Wales it is not a legal requirement to study Law in order to call yourself a Solicitor. How can you possibly advise other people if you do not know the law yourself. In USA, you must have a Law degree in order to call yourself Attorney. I do not know of any other European country where a Solicitor has not studied Law. 90% of so-called solicitors in England and Wales are fraudsters and yet they get away with it. I have spent quite some time researching this matter and have come to the conclusion that this is the worst kind of fraud that anyone could find and yet it still goes on.

This sounds kind of ignorant, and its just cause I have not done all my research (wish is why I am taking the easy way asking yall). If I eventually want my PhD in social psychology, how long will this take say I graduate with my B.S. in psychology? I am thinking six years. Will I first get my Master's (two years?) and then go to school for a PhD (4 years?). I do not know if I have this timeline right! Please help :)

I am getting ready to go to college for the fall of 2008. I'm trying to get ready in advance so I can select a school and get as many scholarships and grants as possible so I can afford attending. I was hoping to get a 3rd parties point of view and myabe anyone that has attended these schools or know of the choices I am looking at.
I aspire to be a jeweler and work at Kay's right now. I could try and go to a small college about 30 miles away, but I'm no all together sure how that would work out with my job since it is so time consuming. I always wanted to go to school, and focus on my school and work part time. But that is a choice: Chisolm College.

I could also try university of pheonix and get my degree online so i won't have to leave my fiance and can still work at Kay's. However, I'm not all too sure on how ligit those programs are, if they are overly hard since you aren't right there with an instructor....
OR, I can go to a major university: OU about 140 miles away.

I am currently going to a Cal State in California, my major is Sociology. I plan on going to a UC that has more emphasis/programs in the department of social sciences or humanities.

These are the UC's I am considering so far: UCLA, UCSB, UCSD, and Berkeley.

I'd love to apply to USC but I'm from a low income family, I'm not too sure if all my expenses will be covered by financial aid.

Advice please! :)

I'm trying to transfer to a 4 year college (UCLA or UCs) from a community college. I know usually it takes 2 years to transfer while meeting up with required courses. However, due to my financial situation it may take me more than 2 years to transfer. I have to work and attend. Also I have rested couple of semesters as well for private reasons. So, lets say it took me 4 years to satisfy my courses, will I be able to transfer then? Is it ever too late to transfer? I know there are financial help but I'm just curious.

i found an art supplemnent application for this college and it said
[[Music:

strongly encouraged to submit a 10-minute audio recording of a solo performance representing your abilities. Please give your
name, instrument/voice part, and work performed on the recording.]]
- For experiences, and awards… what sorts of things I can put??? I had played alto sax since the middle school… I was in this local orchestra called IAMS orchestra for 2 years (I might do this orchestra again this year) and have been volunteering at local hospitals, and elders house… I was in marching band 4 yr, jazz band 3yr, and symphonice band 2 yr… (would these be part of resume??) and also for awards part. Can I put awards like where band had gained??? Like the symphonic bands, you go play in SCSBOA competition and get graded, such as superior or excellent… would that considered too?help

Hey guys,
I'm going to be starting UCI in a couple of days and I'm really having some mixed feelings about my schedule. This past summer, I took, Math 2A (Calculus 1) at a Community College, and I found out around August from a GC at UCI that if I want to do pre-med (which I really want to), I should be taking Chemistry 1A and Biology 93 my first quarter and take Math later on say Spring Quarter. However, I'm afraid that if I wait that long, I might forget some of the stuff I learned in Math 2A. The other alternative is taking Chem 1A in the winter, and 1B in the spring, and then 1C in the summer. Anyone have any advice as to what I should do? Another thing, the
