HI, I would like to know weather a copy of our college degree diploma is needed or required when applying to jobs.

I just graduated from college and don't know if this is necessary. Or do they just have some kind of database where they can check this (degree completion)?

Is it a good idea, to have a copy in hand? and what else do you recommend having when applying for jobs. A transcript of all courses? Is it necessary? since my doesn't look very good in the last 2 semesters I really don't want to show it.

I appreciate your help. Thanks.

I am a first year doctoral student coming from an M.A. program. I am in a new city with lots of cool places and interesting people. Part of me wants to explore the city and the hot men. But I wonder if I really even have time to invest in meeting men and dating.

Should I wait until next semester or next year? I am opened to any suggestions about how I should manage my time in terms of academia and dating?

Someone I know who has several masters degrees once told me that when you're in grad school, you're pretty much guaranteed of getting at least a C in a class if you at least come to all the classes. Do you know if this is often true? Assume we're talking about a normal state school here, not a prestigious grad school.

And I want to go to Tisch Film and TV, but have little in my portfolio in that area. I have a very strong fine arts portfolio, however; should I apply for fine arts instead and possibly shift to Film and TV?

How can i get rid of the silly mistakes which don't let me score marks in my examination to the full of my ability , i am sick & tired of it but it doesn't go . I need to overcome it as soon as possible .

No special kind of tests , routine tests of clg and university , like i tend to act haphazardly when i know the full answer and tend to answer it wrongly by not thinking over it , nervousness also creeps in due to which i commit mistakes that i shouldn't .

At my high school, AP classes are 2 periods long. We also don't have as many AP classes. It is a pretty highly ranked private school, but I'm worried about not getting into a good college. I want to go to USC with a career in the medical field, but my school doesn't have as many AP math and science classes. Do your classes in high school necessarily reflect your degree?

I found there is a major called"science and arts",at least,it replaces major.
but what can a person do with it?
If I'm major in engineering or education,I probably know what I can do with it,but not science and arts.

i currently attend a community college and this is my 2nd year. i plan on transfering to University of Virginia, but my gpa right now is a 3.2 all because i got a D in Calculus. My gpa use to be a 3.6/3.7, but all because of that one class it has drastically lowered my gpa. i'm currently retaking calculus. Will UVA see that grade if i transfer? if i get a good grade by retaking it, will the bad grade be erase? Could I bring up my gpa where it was before? Since UVA is VERY competitive I'm afraid I won't get accepted. I work a part-time job and I don't think it's enough to impress UVA. Do they want SAT I scores too? B/c my SAT's scores were bad i score around 800. For, some reason i blame myself for not being motivated enough to try hard in my classes. i use to make really good grades in my 2 semesters of cc, but this semester i don't feel motivated at all. I really want to go to UVA b/c I wanted to see if I could go farther plus their science program is really good.

I'd like to be a plastic surgeon. I'm only a sophomore but I want to know what math and science classes I shoudl take. But I am taking AP Language Arts and two AP History classes, so I don't know if that will help me in my career. Well, I took Honors Geometry and Honors Biology and now I'm taking Algebra II Honors and Chemistry Honors. Next year, I cannot take physics because of this program I'm in at my school called (IB), so I have to decide if I want to take IB Bio or IB Chem which is equivalent to AP bio or AP Chem. I don't know which one I should take. I kinda of suck at math, but I'm really good in Biology and I got straight A's even though alot of people were failing. Also, I have to take IB Pre-Calculus or I.B. Pre-Statistics, but I don't know which one would help more towards my career. Please help. =]

I'll be applying to a certain college. One of my relatives happens to be acquainted with a fairly well-known individual who is a graduate of said college. I was offered an interview by this person, though this person does not usually do interviews. Though I know that this person would not recommend me unless this person felt that I was qualified in every respect, I nevertheless feel as though I'm being unfairly advantaged. What should I do? I can't simply decline the offer, but at the same time, I want to feel as though I was accepted by this college on the basis of merit. Would writing a letter to this college encouraging it not to put more credence in this well-known individual than it would do for any other interviewer be my best option, or would this be tacky? Should I trust the college to do this on its own?
