i currently attend a community college and this is my 2nd year. i plan on transfering to University of Virginia, but my gpa right now is a 3.2 all because i got a D in Calculus. My gpa use to be a 3.6/3.7, but all because of that one class it has drastically lowered my gpa. i'm currently retaking calculus. Will UVA see that grade if i transfer? if i get a good grade by retaking it, will the bad grade be erase? Could I bring up my gpa where it was before? Since UVA is VERY competitive I'm afraid I won't get accepted. I work a part-time job and I don't think it's enough to impress UVA. Do they want SAT I scores too? B/c my SAT's scores were bad i score around 800. For, some reason i blame myself for not being motivated enough to try hard in my classes. i use to make really good grades in my 2 semesters of cc, but this semester i don't feel motivated at all. I really want to go to UVA b/c I wanted to see if I could go farther plus their science program is really good.

The bad grade will not be erased and UVA will see it, but it won't count if you retake the course and do better, because they can't give you credit for the same class more than once.

This is probably not the best forum to get that type of answer. You need to speak with a counselor at U. of V. I don't think any grade ever gets erased. But it will show that you were conscientious enough to take it over for a better grade and improve your GPA.

pass to a distinctive college even though i think of consisting of your concepts-set, no college will ever meet your expectancies. Did you not be attentive to how a lot Howard might fee once you utilized to it? Did somebody else fill out the applying for you devoid of your wisdom? in case you desire to pass to med college, going backwards to an area college could desire to not seem solid on your transcript and probability is you will not have been given a lot futher on your instruction in case you desire to stop everytime some thing isn't precisely what you envisioned. An ADN could desire to not get you very a ways from now on. it ought to have been solid adequate in 1980 yet circumstances are changing. Hospitals are actually hiring BSNs. States like NJ and long island are observing changing their law to make the BSN the standard.
