I'm a military spouse with a 2 year old so I am looking for an online school that is flexible and fairly cheap. Right now I am just looking to get my AA. Any suggestions?

It's just not true that there are no good online schools. Look for regional accreditation (national doesn't transfer for the BA later) and to save money see state and city schools (even if not your state, they're cheaper).

Your degree won't say "STATE U ONLINE," it will say associate of arts, state u, and maybe 'english' or 'history' or whatever you major/concentrate in.

Wonderful idea to get the AA while taking care of the kid- talk about mutli-tasking! Good luck!

This is a trick question -- because there are no good online schools. Employers do not respect degrees from online universities.

Most online schools are For Profit Corporations that are much more expensive than reputable public universities. Your best bet is to enroll at a local public university. Many of them offer online courses in addition to in-class courses, so you should get the flexibility you need at a reasonable cost.
