I was wondering if anyone knew if these online classes are legit or not? I was looking at Axia College of University of Phoenix and was wondering if it is the real deal?

If by "legit" you mean "are they accredited" -- then Yes.

If by "legit" you mean "Do people respect them and will I get a good job" -- then No.

These schools are For Profit universities that cost more than respected public universities. Employers will toss your resume as soon as they see you went to school there.

Most online universities are legit. You need to do some research and make sure that they do offer fully accredited programs of study. However, if you are considering online classes you should definitely talk to people who have taken them. I understand that they can be easy for courses you are interested in but extrememly difficult in courses you aren't or that you have limited knowledge in. You don't have the interaction with the teacher or others kids in the class to help you study (unless you find one to email/IM with from your class roster if available).

It seems more people prefer them for Master's programs than they do for undergrad. Think it through before applying.
