I need to nominate a student at my school for admision into the harvard athletic department. Last year i had received a letter from harvard asking to nominate any students that met certain requirements (academically/athletically) , but this year i did not. I have a 6 foot 3 , 300lb defensive back , senior who is more than capable of competing at the div 1,2,3 level. Academically he received a composite score of 28 on the ACT and has a 3.2 GPA, futhermore, he has taken several "advanced" classes. Im just trying to find out how I go about relaying this information to Harvard , I know that it was one of his first choices but so far he has already been offered several full-rides to other local universities. Thank-you in advance for any information.

I am taking 12 units this semester and I've just been such a slacker this Fall. I literally think I've been to one of my classes about 7 times (I think it meets 32 times by the end of the semester). I'll probably get a B. My other 3 I've probably attended about 50% of the time, and will most likely get 2 Bs and an A. I always cram for tests the night before and get As. It's usually the h/w or in class assignments that bring my grade down. When I attend all my classes, as I have in previous semesters, I will usually get about a 3.8 gpa, sometimes 4.0.

Sometimes I wish college wasn't so easy so I would HAVE to go. But sometimes it just seems like a waste of time. Don't get me wrong, I love to learn new things and enjoy a good class. But this semester was just a bore.

It seems like MANY of my classmates struggle with the work AND are there everyday. I just don't get it.
I'm not trying to sound conceited or anything. I'm just wondering who else experiences this?
Thank

Is petroleum engineering a growing field or would it be a profitable field to choose. I mean in terms of job demand for this field, how does it stand within the next 10-20 years.

Thanks

Since TWU gets such high academic accolades, I don't think it would be a theocratic hellhole.

I know it may end up in the local Post Office but how long do they keep it for?
In May I sent off to have my transcripts evaluated and at the time I was living in Florida. A couple of months ago I moved to LA and I e-mailed and wrote to the company telling them of my new address being very specific to send them to the LA address.
However, they still sent them to Florida.
They would have arrived in the Post Office a couple of weeks ago (they left Miami on the 22nd Nov to go to St. Pete) but we are no longer being forwarded mail from St. Pete.

Do you think the PO in St. Pete will still have my mail?

Well im starting my second year in college and I'm becoming a Full-time student. I will be having 3 classes int he morning with 10 minutes between each. I will be carrying about six books in just Tuesdays and Thursdays morning. I usually carry my books but this semister is bigger and more books. I don't want to use the rolling luggage. I was told the Tote bag and the messenger bags are also helpful but i wanted something that fit all my books and it comfortable and at the same time stylish. Any suggestions ?

I am currently going for a Computer Science degree but I am thinking of changing my major. Pretty much I am just looking for other people's opinion or personal experience with which worked better for them in locating a job.

Hello, I am truly concerned about the fact that i am going to a state school (CalStateLA) to receive my undergrad, rather than a more prestigous school like a UC or USC. Will it seriously matter which school I am coming from to be admitted in Loyola Marymount Law or USC Law. P.S. I am an English major

Do your grade 11 marks count towards your admission adverage in universiy. You apply even before you've fiished half of grade 12. Does that mean the university's look at your grade 11 marks?
