About how much is it to go to school or get the training to get a A+ certificte. one place i went to thay wants $3,000.

Unless they've seriously changed the test, it's meant to certify that you've got the equivalent of 6-12 months PC troubleshooting knowledge.

Many companies have gotten wise to the fact that certification without appropriate experience is generally meaningless, so I would beware paying a lot of money for A+ training. If you already work on a helpdesk or as a PC technician, then you should already know everything on the test. I would avoid any training class - go to your local bookstore and pick up an A+ test book and read it. If you don't feel comfortable taking the test after reading the book, then don't bother wasting the money on it.
