I took a university course a few years ago on Classical Mythology, and I became completely fascinated with the civilizations of Greece and Rome. If I wouldn't have been so close to finishing my Anthropology degree, I would have changed my major to Classical Studies. Ever since that time, I have wanted to study more about Greek and Roman civilizations, but the amount of available information is overwhelming and I don't know where to start. I am not really in a position at this point to return to school so I would like to do a self-study of Greek and Roman civilizations. Are there any Classics professors or classicists out there who can offer me some guidance. Also, I would like to teach myself to read Latin and Classic Greek. How difficult will this be and what are the best textbooks to use?

I go to a junior college. One of my classmates told me that universities don't count my junior college GPA. He said they only look at it when I apply. So, I be starting out with a 0.0 GPA, right? My current GPA is only 3.3, and I don't want it to accumulate with my university grades.

I was thinking about a major in International Business and a minor is Finance. I, however don't know what I want to do with these majors. Do you have to be good in math to minor in finance? Is a major in business setting myself up for failure. I hear that the business majors are too broad and that they don't really have good job outlooks. Could someone give me any input on this subject. Maybe someone in these fields could answer me. Or maybe someone majoring in these fields.

I know that one can complete 2 years of pre-pharmacy study and then apply to an accelerated PharmD. Program for 3 years, but what I want to know is are there any 0-5 years Pharmacy Program for students directly out of high school that does not require reapplying after two years like an interview, letters of recommendations, etc.? All answers are greatly appreciated.

I'am from Toronto Canada. I wanted to know would I be able to take a Criminal Justice program in the U.S even though I'am not a citizen nor a permanent resident?Do schools offer these programs to foreign students? I ask because aren't those jobs for usually permanent residents or citizens of the country? I have an interest in taking this course abroad in the U.S becuase I actually do intend to stay because my grandfather in the U.S who is a citizen has started to file for my mother and us kids under 21.

If you yourself have, or you know someone who has started a 2nd professional career at a late age, please let me know your or their experiences. Also, if you are, or happen to know a Law School admissions office worker, what would you consider in this case? Are there any Law Schools who would consider my application seriously? I already have a BS in Computer Science and a Masters in Business Administration, but am no longer thrilled with the line of work I'm in. I've given it a lot of thought and would love to be a public defender. I'm not interested in making a lot of money, but would like to know what the tution costs for Law School would be so I could know how long it would take to repay the tuition costs.
